I recently dined at Grape Leaf Express in Perrysburg, OH, and had an absolutely fantastic experience, largely thanks to our wonderful waitress, Mais. From the moment we were seated, Mais greeted us with a warm, genuine smile that set the tone for a delightful meal. Her enthusiasm and knowledge of the menu were truly impressive—she patiently guided us through the extensive selection of Lebanese and Mediterranean dishes, offering spot-on recommendations like the chicken shawarma and vegetarian grape leaves, which were bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. Mais’s attentiveness was exceptional; she checked on us just the right amount, ensuring our drinks were refilled and our needs were met without ever feeling intrusive. Her charismatic and friendly demeanor made the atmosphere even more inviting, turning a simple meal into a memorable experience. She even took the time to explain the unique spices used in the dishes, which added a special touch to our visit. The food was fresh, the portions generous, and the service was lightning-fast, but it was Mais’s outstanding care and passion for her work that truly elevated our dining experience. I can’t recommend Grape Leaf Express enough, and if you’re lucky enough to have Mais as your waitress, you’re in for a treat! Read moreEating in is great, the food is fantastic, the service excellent, and the wait is fine. All aspects of dining are wonderful. Now, on the business end, this is where they let down (at least for me), if you try to find a menu online to review before you get there, forget it, everything is geared toward the lame delivery services and the menu looks nothing like what you'll see when you arrive, not sure the pricing online is accurate either, considering a lot of items have $0.00 for the price. And the receipt, why has everyone gone to that stupid little BS Purchase, Tip, Total receipt, I get that info from my bank before I clear the doors upon leaving. Areas for improvement from my perspective;
I called and asked if they had raw kibble. They said yes. I show up and the girl has no idea what raw kibble is. She then confirms they have it. Then I ask if the bread comes with it. She asks and confirms that too. She is new. I also ordered grape leaves. While waiting for my food the guy thst took my call comes out and I asked if they were Lebanese. They said no Palestine. I asked about kibbie spicy, he has no idea how to make kibbie spicy.
I am Lebanese and I have never heard of anyone making this good and not knowing. We take the food to go and get to hotel and no bread in bag. I call the store and the guy thinks it's no big deal.
He offered to bring it to the hotel down the street. We'll I try the grape leaves and there is no flavor. Very bland. I try the kibble it's also bland. There is no spicy anything not even cumin in this food.
The only reason he gets more than one star is they brought bread and brought extra. Do not eat here.
Drive to Detroit and get real Lebanese...
