THERE WAS A SPIDER IN MY SANDWICH!! I only found half because I ATE the other half of the spider. I do admit the sandwich was really good before this but double check before biting into your sandwich...unless you don’t mind spider.

I’ve tried to like this cafe but wow their prices are high, even if they were on Rittenhouse they’d be priced high! The food hasn’t been the freshest and did I mention the prices being high? Seriously, $6.99 for Ben and Jerry’s?

Bathroom is dirty. No coffee in the afternoons. Personnel ill-informed as to selection. Place is kind of trashed. Customers not made to feel welcome.

Sadly my review like the others is not a positive one. I could throw a rock out my window & hit this place however I would rather starve than be subjected to the rude dismissive attitudes shared by all employees which is unfailingly followed up by a mistake on the order...seriously every time. What's worse is that the last time it happened & I called them to complain I was told I would have to bring the sandwich back to them for them to make another...again, I'm less than a block away & what were they going to do serve it to the next sucker??? Isn't that illegal anyway??? The old lady would swipe my Google Wallet card every time & press credit & then insist that I didn't have the funds, forcing me to beg her to run the card as a debit card EVERY TIME, which of course worked EVERY TIME. Did she say sorry? Nah. This place is literally a disgrace to an otherwise ABSOLUTELY AWESOME hood! Across the street is XING WANG which definitely doesn't look inviting but Tom the owner knows my name, remembers my orders & hasn't made a mistake on my order once in three years. He's an awesome representation of who a small business owner should be.

Honestly, don't even bother with this place. I've never written a negative review of an establishment, I simply don't have the time, but I'm always anxious to write a positive one when someone goes above & beyond. I wrote this because it's really...

I love 19 degrees! This place has great food and the people are very nice. I do not understand how anyone can give this place a bad review because I've had nothing but pleasurable experiences with all of the employees, Boarshead is top notch, and they have a nice selection of beer. Considering that only a few years ago this place was ran by a business owner who could care less about the appeal to the customer and food they offered while they counted down the days till retirement, the new owners have completely turned around the location, and have added a great place to grab food in the neighborhood. If you dickheads that gave this place 1 or 2 stars are expecting Stephen Starr quality service/professionalism then go there to eat. Are you really that disconnected from reality or too entitled to realize that they are trying to make a living the best they can? I back these...

A new go to for trying fun craft ciders and beers. I live fairly close by and am glad there's finally a place nearby that I can buy alcohol without feeling odd and out of place. The service we have received has always been very friendly, they are very relaxed which is completely fine with me since it's a small family run business. The store is very well kept and clean. I can't speak to what I'm seeing on other reviews about the deli end - honestly didn't know they had a deli - but being able to pick up a different cider each week has been super fun. The prices are maybe a little higher, but not by much for craft ciders that I can't really buy everywhere else.

I would ignore the really old reviews and give this place a chance, especially since all the new...
