Can we talk about these wings for a minute??? This was my visit to this restaurant, let me advise you that it is strictly take out; you place your order at the window & wait. The menu is outside very well lit for you to read from. I ordered the 6 piece dry wing combo, with fries. The picture showed crinkle cut fries, so I was expecting crinkle cut fries; yea that part. However, their regular cut fries we cooked pretty good. They have a particular seasoning on them that I was expecting, but it's a mild flavor seasoning with an okay taste and flavor. Next time I'll see if I can request crinkle cut with no seasoning. Again, the seasoning wasn't bad, it was just okay. A mild cajun like flavor I guess you can say 🤷🏾♂️. As you can see in my photo, the wings are huge (as I like them to be), they had a good cook on them. They weren't over cooked, nor under cooked. They have a real crispy batter on them that gives a great crunch 😋. Omg, beware they have a little spice them though. The wings were juicy and not dry at all. I've read a few reviews and some have had different experiences, but tonight they were juicy with a good spice flavor profile. The sauce on the side was a good balance to the spice level. Believe me, if you love to eat like I do and feel that you might want a 12 piece instead of the 6, get the 6 pieces first and try it out. I was getting full by the end of the 3rd wing 😒, yet I continued eating, leaving 2 for tomorrow 🤣🤣. I honestly didn't want to waste them, and was afraid that reheating them the next day, might cause them to lose their taste. I'll see tomorrow when I reheat the remaining 2. The sauce on the side provided a good flavor profile, that made me want to continue dipping my chicken in. In my opinion this place is pretty good for the wings that I tried. The menu has a few different options from tenders to burgers too. I'm not sure if I'll try anything else yet, but I would recommend this place for their wings so far. Everyone has a different spice level, so what may not be spicy to you, may be spicy to me & vice-versa. If you like jumbo wings, give them a try 👌🏾. I was pleasantly surprised. Hopefully you will enjoy...
Read moreSo I had a hankering for a good chicken sandwich but didn’t feel like tracking all the way to Center City for one. This is when my partner suggested trying OK Hot Chicken for the first time. OK Hot Chicken offers patrons quality chicken sandwiches of various spice levels at an affordable price.
I ordered a mild number one (slider + fries) with a mango lemonade while my partner got the mild number two (slider + fries + chicken tender) with a mango lemonade as well. When it comes to the chicken sandwich itself, it was great with an impeccably fried, evenly coated, well seasoned chicken breast, topped with coleslaw, their OK hot sauce and three thick crispy cut pickles on buttery, lightly toasted brioche buns. The number one also came with well seasoned, perfectly fried, crinkle cut fries with their signature sauce for dipping (they offer no other condiment choices).
If I had to rate the meal (slider + fries) I would give it a 9.5/10, 10/10 is near impossible unless it were manna from heaven itself so don’t take the 9.5 as a ding on the restaurant. Things that I will do the next time I order this combo is to go up on the spice level. The mild was VERY mild, almost no spice at all in my opinion but again, no fault of the restaurant, spice level is different at every establishment and I was unsure how mild their mild would actually be.
Now the lemonade was very interesting. I would say if you are a huge fan of tart and then sweet drinks you’d probably give this a perfect score but in my opinion it was a little overwhelming to the point that my partner took one drink, diluted it with about 4-6oz of water and it was still sweet enough to enjoy. BUT, that meant we could share the second lemonade for another day. Overall I would give the lemonade a 6.5/10
All in all, I definitely will be coming back to this...

Pro: sandwich not greasy large sandwich chicken sandwich flavor was good when you could taste it (like bite it on the side without all the sauce)
Con: sandwich and chicken wings were warm fries were soggy and warm too much sauce in the sandwich spicy isn’t spicy (but I understand spice levels differs for many) wings were bland inside and also tasted like old oil
My biggest surprise was that the chicken and fries were not hot. There were many orders coming out so that was my biggest expectation. We only live 10 mins away. Open it as soon as we got home so expected some kind of heat.
The fries texture with the warm temperature felt as if you had fries earlier in the day, couldn’t finish, then left it out to snack on later
The sauce in the sandwich was inconsistent. We had three. Each sandwich had different amounts of sauce. One was dripping. All you could taste was the Mayo-y sauce which over powered the chicken. The one with less sauce was...
