We decided to keep our annual end of year birthday dinner for our friend despite Covid. We decided on this place, and were happy we did. I had the salmon, my friends all had shrimp pad Thai, a lamb dish, and fried veggie rice(sheâs very simple but picky and she loved it!) we all enjoyed our food. The restaurant was very nice- very spacious and they were sure to keep us far enough from other diners, (we were the first to dine in- then others had to join due to the rain.) The staff were mostly all very friendly, although they all could use an etiquette class. Every one of them reached across us without one excuse me to place or pick things up- they did not say excuse me when they arrived to the table just butted in and when we were still working on our food a few of them were baby sitting our plates ready to take them back prematurely. Not sure if they were trying to be exceptional, or rushing us out. It was a little off putting though for all of us. Our waitress was a bit sassy too in the beginning. I think she made my food hot intentionallyđ, I asked for mild and I couldnât eat a single bite without tearing up. All in all it was a decent experience. They also had a guy playing piano and singing at one point- that was a nice touch. Oh Lastly, we were trying to take a picture just as we were about to leave and the owner was so sweet she moved a few things so that we could take a picture in front of a really nice textile hanging as you come in. Here are some pics of our meals- they were plated too nicely to not appreciate with a picture or two. Weâll probably try them out again- oh they have happy hour all week and even on Saturdayâs!! Thatâs a good reason to go back!...
Read moreAmong the top spots I had Thai Food, along with another place in NY (Thai Villa). Get the curry dishes. Everything I tried at this place was good, if not amazing. It did take us long to get seated, but the food made up for all the service shortcomings.
I had both the Pad Thai and the Boom Bai Kai. The Pad Thai was good. Not too heavy, over-seasoned, and nice. It was a little on the lightly seasoned side, but I prefer that over food being too heavy and hard to eat. The Boom Bai kai was really good. The curry was creamy, coconut-flavored, and herbal. It paired perfectly with rice. The Pad Thai was super savory and have a nice flavor of soy sauce and fish sauce, along with that signature Pad Thai stir fry taste.
My friends got the Panang Si Krong On, Kang Lewan, and the Pad Cha. They were all very good. Pad Cha was a little salty, but nothing too crazy. I thoroughly enjoyed trying all their dishes. Panang Si Krong On was soooo good. I could go a long time on how each were so good, but honestly you should just try it for yourself. I really enjoyed this place.
The atmosphere is good too. Ethnic, but also polished with fine-dining elements like dim lighting and table cloths. Our server, Melissa, did a good job of making sure we were accommodated with everything we needed. I will come back here soon.
Update 6/18/23- Visited this place again was was not disappointed. Quality was exactly like how I had it the first time.
I will suggest that you choose at least the basic spice level for any dish. If you ask to have a dish be less spicy than usual, they will water down the sauce/curry and reduce both flavor and spice. Just something to...
Read moreLet me start off by saying I highly recommend this resturant! They are incredible! The food is phenomenal!! True authentic Thai food!
My server was Owen, he was really sweet and did a great job! He new the menu and made amazing recommendations! Jason was the food runner but also busted my table the entire night making sure anything I didnât need wasnât on the table or in my way!
I didnât get the hosts name, but very thoughtful! She originally seated my boyfriend and me at a two-top (table for two) because thatâs was all available! As soon as the larger table next to us got up, she asked if we would prefer the bigger table abs cleared it for us! I enjoy sitting next to my boyfriend when I eat, so having the larger table, gave the opportunity for him to sit next to me instead of across from me! Was super grateful for her genuine thoughtfulness!
The chief even came out and walked around asking how everyoneâs food was! !!
The owner/manager was constantly engaging with the Resturant! The guests and the staff! Literally, everyone ran around all night working! No one slacked off!
The Resturant might have been slightly understaffed but when I say they all worked together to make sure all the guests were good, I truly mean that! Taking it from someone who worked in the Resturant for years from a host all the way up to a general manger, I take notice to EVERYTHING!
From the laughs with Jason to the kindness from the hosts! To the owner bringing out her hottest spice for my boyfriend !
Truly an incredible...
