This is maybe my first Google review, this place is so good I felt morally obligated to praise them here because this is my favorite spot in the neighborhood. The food is PHENOMENAL. They have a bar with seating so you can have a beer while you wait for your order and watch whatever is on the TV. They also have a huge patio outside where you can sit down and eat (while watching the big screen outside) which is perfect for summertime. Not only can you have one of several delicious rotating drafts, they have a whole wall of fridges with a real nice selection of beers you can buy to go. Best part of that? You can build your own 6 packs, only place within blocks you can do that. The cherry on top is the staff is SUPER friendly. Every time I come in (which has been several times) the next person behind the counter is as awesome as the last.
P.S. They have maybe the best meatballs I’ve ever had. And that’s coming from a North...
Read moreMy hoagie was not made quite how I wanted it made, and the mozzarella sticks were different.. .but they were still high quality and not papi store mozzarella sticks. I can tell they made them in house. Sorta baked rather than fried. Interesting.
The hoagie had a seeded Liscio roll, $12 which is appropriate nowadays. The meat hit the mayo on the roll which is a big deal to me. I hate when they put the cheese on the roll and I have dry meat and stuff. I think they went light on the seasoning, but all in all I'm happy with my investment for both. It's my hoagie in the neighborhood from now on.
The bar guy was nice which can be rare in this neighborhood. No attitude. Just a couple bros working the night shift and I didn't have to wait a second. In and out in like 20 seconds.
Thankfully there is some place in the neighborhood I can get a hoagie...
Read more4 stars because they are nice and the rest of their food is good. Tonight I got some wings and they were gray and undercooked and just disgusting. I fried them for like 10 minutes in my frying pan and still couldn't save them. I don't have a deep frier. They were still rubbery and almost like a raw chicken. I had to throw them away. I was pretty upset because I was really hungry and really looking forward to them. I think maybe they saw me waiting and tried to hurry them up which was nice but they just were so completely unappetizing they had to go in the trash.
On the other hand, their hoagies and cutlets are fire. I was really hoping this would translate to their wings.
Edit: Took you back to 5 stars. I'll try them out one day! It was only meant to be constructive and it was. I really...
