John's Place — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I cant comment on the food but the service was horrible. I placed an order online which was supposed to be delivered in an estimated 45 minutes window. After an hour and 15 minutes I called the store to follow up at which time they told me my food was still there. She said she would call the delivery service and see why the food wasn't picked up. I mentioned that I would rather have them send somebody now with the food than to find out why it wasn't picked up but she was not hearing it and said she would call me back after she finds out. After waiting 15 minutes and not getting a call back, I called the store and was told my order was canceled. I asked why nobody called me to inform me that and they simply reply they got busy. After waiting for an hour and a half there was no food coming! The most frustrating thing about the whole ordeal was they showed no sign of sympathy to the situation and at Point offered no apology whatsoever. I have three small children at home and basically couldn't give them a decent...

Okay so, I go to the community college near this place and honestly, for me, it's a godsend. I have 3 hour period between classes, so I go here to grab lunch.

Place is very inexpensive, and they have some good specials to make it better. ON that, So far everything I've gotten from them has been really good, t most I'd say I wish their fries were seasoned, but salt and pepper is always around there so I don't care.

Atmosphere is very chill and homey in a way, on every occasion I find myself talking with the nice women working the registers when it's been slower. They have a nice area to dine in as well, and overall a friendly feel.

Overall Maybe I'm just easy to please, but the people there seem chill and nice and the food is good and inexpensive, so I'm almost always going when...

So my friend wanted a NY flavor slice of pizza, but in Philadelphia. I highly recommend John's Place for pizza if you're looking for a NY flavor type of slice. I went on a Thursday evening around 6:10pm and it stated online that they closed at 7pm for now. The workers were welcoming and the order of 2 pepperoni slices was served in under 10 minutes. It was served hot and had a good dough that wasn't flimsy and stayed afloat during the entire devourourment. Good cheese to pepperoni ratio. I added the extra italian seasonings and parmesan cheese offered to shake on yourself.
