Perfect Juicy chicken, fast service, distinctive
Really juicy, tasty and crispy perfect chicken. Must try peach mango pie and pineapple drink. Really fast service even the drive through line or dine in line is long, you don’t really wait for so long, compared to other fast food restaurants like McDonald’s, checkers..(my honest experience in Philly) I wish their food and service stays in this quality. But it really depends on the employees who’s works in the kitchen. Good luck Jollibee.
If you are not a food hobbyist/explorer, not from Philippine or someone from even from Asia, be careful if you want to try their palabok or spaghetti because you might like them, you might not. But you won’t regret their chicken, that I can guarantee.
More thoughts about their food:
I tried their chicken once in Manhattan, surprised by how juicy it is. I remember they had another location in northeast Philly, at least I found it on google map but it doesn’t exist when I arrived that address. Now they finally open one in Philly.
As I know the famous thing of Jollibee is their chicken and unique Southeast Asia menu. I’ll say their chicken is juicier than Popeyes. Even the part of chicken close to breast is still juicy and tasty. Remember few years ago the famous Popeyes chicken sandwich? It’s actually not that good. Try Jollibee’s. You can see the fibers of chicken on these pictures, its neither dry nor tasteless. They really seasoned it well. I guess they use pressure fryer that’s why the chicken is so juicy. I don’t think they sell chicken breast/tender, which is a good thing, white meat is always dry, hard and tasteless if someone don’t know how to handle it perfectly.
The crispy part, the shell of chicken is more close to Korean fried chicken. The crispy part of the Chicken from Popeyes or KFC is light, Jollibee’s are thicker and a little bit harder. Not saying it’s a bad thing, just try to point out the difference. They probably use different flour or process method. But I think it’s close to the Korean fried chicken. If you tried Korean chicken or google the video you will know what I mean.
Their pineapple juice should included real pineapple element, I can taste it and feel that special feeling on my tongue and throat after few prices pineapples, the effects from bromelain. Light pineapple but real. I wondering if they don’t have different size of drinks. I ordered a chicken sandwich meal, large, but that’s what I got. I compared it with an iPhone 13. You will see the size how the cup is. Maybe they do have large size but the drive through server made a mistake again since someone forgot my sandwich and another pineapple drink.
Recommend their peach mango pie, eat it when it is still hot.
No much thing to say to their fries. Pretty common. One thing I wanna point out that It is crispy but soft inside, a bit of air(empty). Not sure what potato they use. Not solid like others. But you can tell that’s theirs own character. If you ask me to try I might distinguish their...
Read moreSpoiler long review: If I could give it 2 an half stars I would. I do understand that this location has been open over an month and that they hype for this place is still going good , but wait time is horrendous the day I went which was on a Sunday I thought was going to be to bad considering that there was a long line outside when I notice security allowing a few people in when the line progressed inside. So I was like cool I can finally see what all the hype is about. When I get in line outside there was a good 8-10 in front not bad and the line was moving to let people in and just to put a time on it I wanna say I got here at 3:15pm but waited outside for about 10 mins a lady in front of me left cause she didn’t want to wait and I wish I did the same thing but I stuck it out. Once I got inside the line to wait was another 30-45 mins inside and the Security guard that was there said this is pretty slow comparing to other days where you are waiting 1-3 hours outside to inside 😬😬 he said a drive thru is close to a 3-4 hour wait and once your in line your stuck there is no way out unless you go over the concrete barrier where the grass is at to hit Bustleton Ave. As I waiting in line it’s moving slow-medium pace but people was ordering big orders I’m glad I had a simple order and the young woman that to care me was nice. The reason for the 3 stars is the wait time as working in fast food industry and was a manager for some time in the food industry the wait time should have not been that long the basis of the Jollibee is chicken and there spaghetti . Chicken should be down constantly and cooked to the standard I feel as the chicken was rush and was way to greasy which upset my stomach and I was burping the taste of the chicken up not a good sign. I order an chicken sandwich ,6pc bucket of chicken joy and the peach and mango pies spent 25$ on it. Chicken sandwich was just standard if I had to compare it to other place it wouldn’t make the top 5 for me the chicken as I stated about was way to greasy should of been cooked a little longer to get that nice crunch and there is gravy for the chicken as a dipping sauce. The pies was definitely good but a lil pricey for it but that ok. I didn’t leave out of the store until close to 5 o’clock so that almost 2 hours in a store for food and I was dining out. The best solution is stay on top of food they was waiting to much on chicken and pies and they had a promotion for the pies which they wasn’t even continuing anymore and the manager told her not to do anymore because they couldn’t keep up with the demand but still had it advertised. I would never thought I would have to leave a review for a food spot but I doubt I will be back in for the food I might try the other options on the menu but It will have to be until the hype for...
Read moreI am a regular customer of Jollibee Philadelphia, and it's my favorite fast-food restaurant. I visit at least once a week from a place 30 minutes away, and I absolutely love their spicy fried chicken. However, my recent experiences have been highly disappointing, and I feel compelled to share them in this review.
Over the past few months, Jollibee's management has become disorganized, and their staff is always ignoring customers and behaving in an unprofessional manner. Every Sunday morning, when I visit there, they always say that there is no spicy fried chicken, which is highly frustrating and disappointing for me and other customers who are also waiting for the spicy fried chicken.
Jollibee should make sure that this food is ready before opening instead of always disappointing the regulars. It's essential to cater to the needs of regular customers, and Jollibee is doing the opposite. When the restaurant first opened, it was all good, and the spicy fried chicken was available no matter what time of day it was.
One of my most frustrating experiences was when they told me to wait for 20 minutes until the spicy fried chicken was fried. After waiting for 20 minutes, I watched them take out the spicy fried chicken, but all of them were put into other orders, and they were swept away in an instant. This is highly unreasonable, and I shouldn't have to wait another 20 minutes for the food.
Overall, I am highly disappointed with the recent experiences at Jollibee. I hope the management takes this feedback into consideration and makes the necessary changes to improve the quality of service. As a regular customer, I want to continue to patronize Jollibee, but these recent experiences are making it difficult for me to do so.
If you're planning to visit Jollibee for their spicy fried chicken, I would suggest calling ahead to check the availability of the food, as there's a high chance that it won't be available when you arrive.
In conclusion, Jollibee needs to improve their management and train their staff to behave in a professional manner. I hope my review helps other customers make an...
