OK SMASHED BURGER — Restaurant in Philadelphia

My son and I love OK Smashed burger. Their burgers in my opinion are top notch. Excellent burgers every single time. We have never been to any other location aside from Mayfair. But, we were in the South Philly area (7/5/25) so decided to stop at that location. It’s a walk up window, nobody else was there. I ordered two classic smashed burgers. The lady said it would be about 10 mins. So we waited in our car parked in front of the place. After 10 mins I went to get our burgers. Waited several mins and rang the bell twice before the woman came to the window. When I told her I was picking up my burgers she asked me for my receipt so she could see what number I was. We were the only ones there. I wasn’t there with Uber eats or DoorDash. I had ordered our burgers 10 minutes prior, it was the same lady and she asked for my receipt. I told her I threw the receipt out and she asked me to get it out of the trash so she could see what number I was. After getting our burgers, my son who is autistic, took a bite of his burger, and it was oozing with yellow mustard. We have been to the Mayfair location I’d say at least 20 times and never have I had yellow mustard on their burgers. It doesn’t say it comes with mustard either. It just says it comes with the OK sauce. Mine had mustard as well. The burger also tasted like it had no seasoning on it. If this was the first place I tried an Ok Smashed Burger I would never go back again. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. Service was horrible, burger was bland and didn’t come the way it was supposed to and may I add, the burger was smaller than the Mayfair location. I would give the Mayfair location 100 stars, but the Washington Ave location I will never...

As others have mentioned, these burgers are quite good on both the palate and the wallet. The burgers are tasty with the toppings, but the meat itself was notably under-seasoned. The fries are the crispy-on-the-outside, and are good even upon delivery. The containers handle the steam well so the fries don’t get soggy. The fries, though, like the meat, could’ve used more seasoning (a bit more salt would help). Worth mentioning, you’ll want to get an extra side of fries with your “combo” meal- there was a pitiful amount of fries with the burger compared to the side order.
