No roast dates on coffee beans. Almost didn’t buy them, but I’m glad I did. I was skeptical that they would be fresh, but they were bubbling and fizzing in my V60. Might’ve just gotten lucky, but as probability dictates, probably not. No, Ox likely sells fresh beans.
So then why not list the dates? You already list origin, altitude, varietal, and process. Dates are important and this company is at the caliber to add them.
Americano was good, espresso was good, drip coffee was good. The folks behind the counter didn’t seem pretentious. Shop has a nice vibe, but is not wheelchair accessible.

I walked in at the 6 minute mark of the song "Under the Pressure" by the War on Drugs which felt so dreamy and yet so Philly at the same time. Service was excellent and my chai tea latte was the best I had in Philly. My partner and I had a great time looking at the window and people watching.
