Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I have been a Papa Johns Customer for over 20 years and never have I experienced any issues until ordering from this location!

First visit, my husband and I placed an online order and used a Papa deal for 2 liter sodas along with our pizzas. When my husband went to pick up our order, a woman with a thick Caribbean accent questioned him repeatedly about how he was able to get the sodas for the price we paid. He told her that he used a papa deal and she still questioned him stating that the normal price is $4.25. Tbe tone of her voice and the look on her face made my husband feel uncomfortable as if she was insinuating he had cheated or wrongly received the special. She reluctantly handed him 1 plastic bag to squeeze 4 sodas into.

Second visit, I placed my order online and paid online. When I walked inside, a woman with a strong Caribbean accent was standing behind the cash register on what appeared to be a personal phone call on her cell phone. I still waited for her to finish her call and then told her I was picking up an online order. She handed me two plastic bags so that I could retrieve the four 2 L sodas for my order. After I placed the four sodas in the bags I placed the bags on the counter.

She stated “Can you get the sodas that you ordered?” I was confused and asked her what she meant. She then stated that I did not choose an orange soda on my order. I explained to her that my husband was the one that placed the order, and therefore I was unaware of the flavors he had selected. I took the orange soda out of my bag, and she told me he selected ginger ale, the other 3 I grabbed were the correct flavors. She then said she only mentioned it because they only had 2 orange sodas left otherwise she wouldn’t have cared. Weird, but okay.

Third and final visit, I placed an online order and used my Papa Dough dollars to cover the entire order. Two minutes after placing the order I received a phone call from Papa John’s. I answered and a woman with a strong Caribbean accent stated to me that she was calling from Papa Johns and wanted to know what I did to allow my order to total $0.00. Taken aback, I explained to her that I used my Papa dough reward dollars. I also stated to her that I didn’t understand how she couldn’t see that. She rudely replied that I didn’t have to yell! I never raised my voice only replied to her with the same level of rudeness she gave me. She stated that before calling me she went through my order history to try to determine how I had enough to cover my order and could I explain it to her.

I explained I had $14 in Papa Dough reward dollars and my order was $13.98. She still couldn’t comprehend and said she couldn’t see that in my history!!! She told me her boss would question why she made a $0 order. I told her to cancel my order and that they did not have to worry about us ever ordering from that location again as this was the 3rd visit and 3rd problem we have had with her!!!!

I ordered from another location and picked up my pizzas 20 minutes...

First and last time ordering here. First we tried to place order online, but wouldn't recognize our gc. Then we called in and still wouldn't recognize our gc. We ordered ahead hours in advance for Valentine's Day. When we picked up, cashier was RUDE! Did not know what an electronic gc was and rolled her eyes when speaking. Told my husband he needed to enter it himself. It worked in person. Came home only to find they messed up our order and forgot pepperoni on one of the pizzas. Terrible customer service. Will not be ordering here again. Way to mess up our Valentine's Day!!! Need to hire better employees. Never bothered to call back to address or complaint or refund us ob the pepperoni we Paid for but didn't receive. They need to shut this location down. Awful. Avoid at...

I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak pizza and the manager overnight did not secure the pizza box appropriately. I had one seal attached to my box and it was unsecured. She made it seem like it wasn't a big deal and blamed it on the Door Dash person. At least put two seals on the box and reexamine the box to make sure it does not fling open. Now, I can't eat my pizza that I paid money for. Additionally, if it was secured I would had torn the seal in half where the word quality would be at the top and the word sealed will be at the bottom. This is/was a waste.
