A criminally underrated coffee shop, especially considering the rise of many great coffee shops in Philadelphia.
Firstly, the space itself is stunningly designed. A really beautiful and thoughtful interior in a very warm neighborhood.
The bagels are from Philly Bread Co. a local business and maker of fantastic bagels. The Philly bagel scene is baren, so these are a light in the dark.
The coffee is also a sleeper. Sourced from Blind Tiger Coffee, again a smaller coffee roaster in Philadelphia, it is absolutely delicious. It was was warm and bold in an Iced Americano. Nutty with chocolate notes, almost smoky in the best way. And in an Iced Latte it was truly spectacular. The way it played with the milk gave the coffee fruity notes. It was a totally different experience, but both were wonderful.
All in all, Rally is a very special and standout shop. Thats hard to do in a city like Philly. They support Philly businesses, and are also a co-working space. Its unique, interesting, and most...
Read moreOn a damp and gray Saturday, Rally was just what the doctor ordered. From the first moments in the cafe, the staff made us feel welcome and helped us understand what would make a perfect coffee that morning. The cafe itself is completely charming—from the gracious lighting, comfy furniture and roomy seating, this is a place folks linger. Neighbors came and went and talked about their days ahead, Moms with kiddos, older couples, folks with Eagles jersies—everyone was here. The coffee matched the bar set by the cafe and the staff: thoughtful, well executed and interesting. Rally will not disappoint and I look forward to finding my way back to this charming cafe on a charming...
Read moreWalked into Rally kinda on a whim and ended up posting up for like two hours. The drip coffee was way better than I expected — smooth, rich, no bitterness. I added a slice of their banana bread (looked homemade, and yeah, it tasted like it too). Interior’s that clean-but-not-sterile vibe, and the big windows make the whole space feel open. It’s also part creative studio, which sounds weird but actually works — people were editing video, sketching, just vibing. Staff was laid-back but on top of stuff. Bathroom was clean and easy to find (blessed). Honestly feels like one of those places that doesn’t try too hard but...
