Overall a pretty poor experience for the first time trying it. Food was lackluster and the service was quite poor.
I ordered the Horchata, the Chicken Tinga Quesadilla, the Shrimp Nachos, and a slice of pizza.
Horchata was good, but when I asked for a bag I was told that they don’t offer bags for drinks. Fine enough, however I don’t recommend getting any of the drinks in the plastic containers as the containers are leaky and they don’t seem to have any plastic or bag to wrap them in.
Next was the Chicken Tinga Quesadilla. Bad cheese to meat ratio, the tinga was pretty flavorless, and there was so much liquid on the meat that by the time I completed the 5 min walk home, the tortilla was soaked and inedible.
Conferred with roommate on the nachos, he said he’d give them a 3/10 and that they weren’t the worst he’s had.
As far as the slice of pizza, it was forgotten and we had to remind the lady behind the counter that we had even ordered it. It was placed in the oven and she appeared to have forgotten it again, because I overheard another staff member she was chatting with remind her of it. Honestly, she could’ve forgotten it for all I cared because it was somehow ice cold anyway. We were not even given a bag for it, it was just sandwiched between two paper plates.
On top of all this, part way through assembling the order 4 or 5 staff members left the restaurant to go watch a bus having trouble navigating a turn for about 7 mins.
In all, won’t be going again which is a shame because it’s very close to my house. For $38 and the $8 tip it cost me, I could order something better to be delivered and it would be a better deal.
Edits for typos and forgot to add picture of liquid...
Read moreThis restaurant is so bad, I hate to even call it a restaurant. But let's talk about the customer service. Its okay at best, I decided to give this place a try. So when you walk in they showcase their slices of pizza, And said wow they have pretty decent size slices. So I ordered a large plain cheese pizza. As well as a large pepperoni. I also order a cheesesteak, when I tell you this food was horrible. I'm not exaggerating, I open the box of pizza and the slices was as small as a personal pan pizza. So I'm like they have false advertising. I said you know what forget it. As long as it taste good. The crust was so burnt, it had hardly any sauce. And it was extremely salty. Both pizza had the same travities. The cheesesteak was on a whole different level of nasty. I have no idea what kind of meat it was. But it was fatty, slimy. Flavorless.the meat had the consistency of rubber. My advice would be, Run as fast as you can passed this place. It's one of the worst restaurants I've ever eat at in my whole life. Don't waste your...
Read moreI've been a patron of Rosarios since they first opened in Point Breeze and have been meaning to write a review for so long. Rosario's uses quality, fresh ingredients and the food is hot, consistent, and delicious. They've been my go-to spot for hoagies, club sandwiches, burritos, pizza, churros and on and on. They have a large menu so there's something for everyone. And they blend cuisines from different cultures in such a yummy way:)
What really makes Rosario's unique are the people. I'm always greeted with warmth, even when they're super-busy. The delivery drivers are thoughtful and kind. The business owners and workers send out great vibes and I'm thankful to have such a wonderful restaurant in my community.
Even with all the struggles they've faced through this pandemic, Rosario's stands strong and is a deep reminder to support local and to see the power of immigrant-owned businesses.
Thank you Rosarios for keeping this bachelor's stomach full for...
