Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Phoenix

I was working an event at the Egyptian Motel on Saturday August 19th and I went to this establishment, 714 W Grand, Phoenix AZ,for 10 pieces of chicken. I arrived at 8:11 pm and the lobby door was locked. So, I proceed to the drive-thru to place my order, but no response from the speaker. Mind you, a lot of chicken was on display in the warmers. Well, a lady came out to empty some garbage, so inquired about getting some chicken. She barely spoke English & told me to proceed to the window. When I got to the window, the young man was so rude because I didn't want to accept that they were closed. I requested to speak to the manager, and when he came to the window, he was persistent on being closed. So I asked what they were going to do with all the chicken that was leftover? He didn't respond, but it was clear that the chicken was leaving the store because the young man was bagging it into 3 different bags. The manager sent me to the Church's Chicken on 35th & Van Buren which was literally 9 mins. away and this location was only 0.1 miles. Come to find out, this Church's Chicken wasn't supposed to close until 9 pm. I am so upset because I shouldn't have driven out of my way for some freaking chicken. Make it make Sense. The food was fantastic when they actually got the order corrected, which I saw them mess up on 4 other orders as well. They only make so much food towards the end of the night, and that's all that people can order, which is really frustrating and poor customer service, in my opinion. They have a young night staff and that being said they seem to all have an attitude when they have to do something more than stand around talking and being on there phones right in front of customers, they absolutely don't care if people see them on them. Tommie, the manager on duty went above and beyond the other night when I went through the drive-thru. I had an unusual request to throw a cup of water on my windshield because my windshield washer fluid is not working. Instead of throwing the water Tommie came out and used the squeeggee and washed my windshield. Thank you so much. The glare on my windshield was almost unbearable.

I stop by this store often on my way home from work because the spicy chicken strips are great and I always get excellent service even during the busy dinner time rush.
