There are 2 Dunkin Donuts in my nearby vicinity that I visit most often. There is one on my way to work on Tatum and Greenway that I visit daily, 5 days a week M-F. I usually get a coffee and donut, sometimes bagel, sometimes donuts for the office staff and other times for my daughter’s teachers. Today, I had a doctor’s appointment in the morning and so decided to visit the one by my house instead. I don’t go to this one often, because the last 2 times I’ve gone the staff was not pleasant. One time a young girl was complaining to her manager (I think her mom) about how difficult her life is. Another time I went there was a young man working and he didn’t know how to ring up my coupon, so instead of trying to figure it out, he just handed it back very unwilling to help me and made me pay full price even when I had a coupon. This morning, I went to the Dunkin Donuts directly by my house. I had a coupon for a free donut with a purchase of a medium or large coffee. Usually I get a Boston Crème or glazed, but since I was dropping off my 2 girls at school first, I thought I would ask for 4 munchkins as my donut. I usually do this 2-3 times a week at the other location. In fact, I do it so often, I know that in order for them to process it, they ring it up as a donut, and I’ve never had a problem. I was hesitant though, because as I said, I’ve never had a good experience at this location before, and expected there to be an issue. I went through the drive through and told the lady that I had a coupon for a free donut with a purchase of medium or large coffee, and that I would like 4 munchkins in place of my donut. She said that she could not do it. I said it’s okay, I usually do this at their other location, but I was not expecting her response. She very RUDELY said to me “well, that’s not really the point of the coupon then, is it?” I was expecting some resistance, but I could not believe the attitude. I said to her, that it’s okay, I’ll go to the other Dunkin location that actually appreciates my business. She was very happy with this, and said okay, and I backed out of the drive through, and drove 15 minutes out of my way to go to the other dunkin location. As expected, I got my munchkins using the coupon and my coffee. I told them of the situation I had just experienced and that they wouldn’t swap out a donut for munchkins, and the associate agreed with me that it was Ludacris. Afterall, it’s not like I was asking for a bagel or anything. Donuts and Munchkins are the same thing! I only asked for munchkins so I could divide them between my 2 girls. Sheesh. Maybe next time, I’ll just ask them to cut a donut in half! But actually, I don’t think there will be a next time. Even though this location is brand new, I will avoid going to this location at all costs. And I would also recommend that you have the staff at this location visit the Tatum and Greenway store and learn how they operate, because I think they can learn a lot from that store. It’s been there for years, and like I said, I go every single day.
As a loyal customer, and someone who prefers Dunkin Donuts over the millions of Starbucks options around, I don’t appreciate spoken to in a demeaning and rude manner. So unnecessary.
I will say that there have been several days where I have had a terrible day at work, lots of stress, and situations that constantly need managing and resolving. I’ve had days where NOTHING has gone right, and on those days, I’ve stopped at my good ‘ole Dunkin on my way home. And I swear to God, the kindness and friendliness that store shows people honestly puts me in a good mood. The kindness they show perpetuates because then I am able to show kindness to others. It’s a small thing. I mean, it’s coffee for pete’s sake, but there’s no reason someone should have to start their day being rude to others for no...
Read moreIf I could rate this store a 0, I would.. It was horrible. I walked in around 11:25 am today, 15 minutes after placing my order. I wasn't even acknowledged for almost 10 minutes, THEN they asked if I had a mobile order, they found the pink ticket attached to other pink tickets (hadn't even started my order or the other two) and verified my name. Food started getting placed in front of me all of a sudden, and after things stopped coming, (they didn't mention "okay, you're good, have a nice day!") I figured i had my order, so I checked and saw I was missing 2 hashbrowns and the bacon from the "bacon-topped avocado toast". I then figured food was still coming maybe? After nothing came, I kept trying to get someone's attention but one person was chilling in the corner behind the front counter by the drive-thru, never saw him just heard him. I hadn't seen him move to cook something or DO anything since I walked in. The African-American girl was the only one seemingly working and Asian guy wearing headset wouldn't move from his chair except to tell me that the receipt he printed didn't indicate "bacon on the toast" when it actually did, but he didn't bother checking.. THEN, she came up and asked me if I was missing food. I showed my receipt to her first- I said I was missing 2 hashbrowns and the bacon from the toast. She started making it to add while telling him it said bacon. It sounded like he had told her not to make it and my thought was confirmed when he told her it didn't say bacon and walked over to check the receipt he printed on my bag. I pulled out my phone to show him that receipt and he just looked at it all confused. To top it off, a customer walked in behind me and waited before finally walking out. I did voice all of this to them before I finally walked out. They weren't busy, it was me in the store and 2 cars in the drive-thru. This visit was horrible and I won't be back...
Read moreThe incompetence of the staff at this location is astounding. Avoid at all costs unless you have half an hour to spend in line before they inevitably get your order wrong anyways. Management either needs to be ashamed or unemployed.
Edit 4/24: this time they were out of cold brew by 10am
Edit 4/30: my wife waited 20 minutes in a not that long line, on a work morning, for a single donut.... which they got wrong.
Edit 6/5: 10 minutes in line before even getting to order, where we were told that they were out of most donuts, bagels, and croissants. I hate when this is the Dunkin we go to. They then proceeded to mess up both of our drinks and a sandwich. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE. Our cream-free coffee had cream, the other was the wrong size. The sandwich had an "impossible" patty instead of the turkey patty. Once fixed, we got a cold turkey patty and cold slice of cheese. The woman who kept making mistakes let us know that there was no manager on duty, but that she was the shift leader, and was new and to bear with her. Yikes.
7/17: My wife just walked in and was greeted with "If you're here to order, we're not doing food today. The machine keeps burning things." They had donuts, but we out of most. She went inside because after 10 minutes in the drive thru line, it hadn't moved. Absolute garbage location.
4/16/2022: it's been a while. Mostly because we've been going out of our way to avoid this location. Today we were in a hurry, which is ironic since we waited in line half an hour anyways. I'll post a picture of the strawberry donut they gave us where the frosting melted off. Probably because they put it in the same bag as the hot sandwich, which wasn't even the sandwich we...
