Freak Brothers Pizza — Restaurant in Phoenix

First things first. The pizza is PHENOMENAL. Regardless of sauce, style or ingredients, every pizza is well crafted, balanced and cooked to perfection.

I recently had Freak Brothers cater my wedding, and in addition to the food being absolutely delicious, the team of employees led by the owner, Nathan, were just as exceptional as their product. They arrived early, were entirely self contained, needed no help or direction and really went above and beyond in every regard — which meant both myself and my husband had no need to stress, worry or even think about the food other than when we were eating it (I definitely thought about it long after I was done though!). They were also able to accommodate any dietary restrictions from our guests, whether that be vegan, gluten free or both. (And their DF, GF pizzas are actually good!)

As far as hiring caterers go, this was by far the easiest and most pleasant experience I have ever had. In addition to being perfectly professional at the actual event, the owner Nathan encouraged my husband and I to design custom pizzas for our wedding, and we were all able to get together beforehand to hash out ideas and experiment and taste our creations before we decided on any final products. If you’re thinking of hiring Freak Brothers for any catering event, I HIGHLY recommend designing some of your own pizzas. It’s a great way to make your event unique, and it’s something that the creative minds at Freak Bros do genuinely enjoy (or so they tell us).

All in all, we truly wish we could give Freak Brothers more than five stars, as this place really does deserve it. From the quality of the food to the friendliness and professionalism of the staff both at their brick-and-mortar location and their off-site catering events, we have nothing but good things to say about them, and cannot recommend them...

We initially came here on Friday 4/11/25 and were greeted by the sweetest human. He even said he picked his own fresh basil that morning for the pizza. We told him we liked the cheesy bread but wished it had light marinara sauce as well, he offered that exactly with excitement. We had such an amazing experience we came back right before flying home. Except this time we were nastily greeted by some “skater boy” who was worlds of rudeness away from the “I grow my own basil” guy on Friday (the at must have been the sweet owner). He stated they “don’t do marina sauce for cheese sticks but this time I’ll do you a favor and do it, but don’t expect it every time, that’s not how we do things”. We thanked him, but when the pizza arrived it was clear he threw globs of marinara on TOP of the pizza AFTER it had been cooked… after we inquired about the mistake and asked nicely what happened he stated “listen it’s gunna taste the same I did you a favor even doing it” then chased us down to say that he would refund us but will “NOT make the pizza the way you want”? It’s sad to see this poor owners establishment being crippled by arrogant young punks. He even stated “Go tell my owner he will laugh In your face, I act like this because I’m allowed to act like this” I very much doubt his owner would laugh at his employee refusing to do his job. Freak Brothers catered our wedding and they were phenomenal to work with. From the get-go, Nathan had such a calm, kind, and accommodating demeanor that I just knew he and his team would be the perfect choice for our relaxed and intimate backyard wedding with family and close friends. I am so happy to report that we made the best choice possible by partnering with them! They truly thought of everything, were so down to earth, but still so professional, and made sure we were happy with every single detail down to the plates, silverware, and napkins. On top of this they had the prettiest buffet table set up and the happiest/friendliest team. All of our family and friends raved about them, especially about the food which was mouthwateringly delicious! Our gluten-free and vegan guests were thrilled that they got to enjoy pizza along with everyone else and ALL of them said Freak Brothers is the best GF/vegan pizza they've ever had. I even had a friend excitedly show me the impressive flexibility of his GF crust as I was going around and chatting with everyone :) Seriously, if you are even remotely considering ditching stuffy wedding catering for something more exciting, casual, or fun, you need to hire Freak Brothers.
