IHOP — Restaurant in Phoenix

I went with to coworkers for lunch, there was no one at the front desk and we had to wait even though there were very few people in the restaurant. We informed the waitress that we had a time limit and the food arrived quickly, my coworker's chicken strips were very hard and dry and I asked for mashed potatoes instead of fries with my meal, the lump of mashed potatoes looked like it was just plopped on the plate from a Ziploc bag and still had the corner and wrinkles from the plastic and it was obviously microwaved because parts of it were overcooked and dehydrated. My fish was ok, like stoffers battered fish but the shrimp was overcooked and dry. After that our waitress disappeared, we saw someone at another table stand up and look for her as did I, there were people waiting to be seated who walked out, I went into the kitchen and asked if we could get a waitress out on the floor and the lady went and found the manager in an office. We told him we wanted refills on tea and our check, he fiddled tooth the POS system and then went to find our waitress, she came out and asked which of us needed the to go boxes, We said none of us, apparently that is what the other table wanted. She brought us our checks and we gave her our credit cards. Then the manager returned, apologized and said he was going to adjust our bills but they had already been processed so he gave us his business card with a hand written note that said we would get 50% off on our next visit. Two hours later I had to leave work because I had the chills, a fever and diarrhea. I went home and threw up and took a nap, my fever went to 100.9 but after about 4 hours I started...

I have given this place a few tries now. The three times I have gone it has been during a Tuesday or Wednesday between 6-7 pm, which has not been a busy time for them at all. Each time I have had bad service but continued to give it a chance because I was excited to have an Ihop near my house. Last night was definitely the most horrible. We placed our order and it was all wrong. Staff was very rude, manager extremely unprofessional. We asked for the turkey carved sandwich and it was chicken salad instead, I told the server and manager about it and they both said I was the one getting the menu items mixed up even though I have ordered this item many times before at other locations. We also ordered a bowl of clam chowder and received a half filled cup of chicken noodle soup instead. Then the waiter said he would be back with refills and ketcup but never came back, instead he sat down to have dinner along with the manager at this table far away from the customers. I also over heard the family next to us complain about their drinks and the young mom at another table never received her silverware, she ultimately just got up herself and took some from an empty table. It was really such a terrible experience with uncaring staff. We were really just trying to have a nice meal but it did not happen. I will not be returning and will urge all of my friends, co workers, family and neighbors to take their business elsewhere, especially considering the Biltmore area has so many great restaurant options. Do not waste your money...

Went there for a quick bite to eat today during my lunch hour. Big mistake!!! I was totally expecting them to have soup options, none, they don't even make soup at this location. I then asked about a club sandwich they didn't have that either. I finally had to settle for a turkey sandwich with fries. That took longer than 30 minutes to fix so by the time the server brought me my lunch I had to box it up and not eat there and had to leave the same way I arrived, hungry! As if that wasn't bad enough the manager that came up to the register decided to have a major attitude with me! This young hot-headed manager decided to speak to me in a very abrupt tone which was not acceptable. I had unjustly been made to wait for my meal and was not able to consume it when it finally arrived. Then because we were getting a bit loud 4 servers showed up at the cashier desk along with the actual manager asking if everything was okay? When I arrived I only saw 3 people a hostess and 2 servers. Amazing when caca hits the fan its all hands on deck but if these folks had been on the floor all along maybe the service I received would have been way better. What really got me is they were not that busy, there were only 8 tables. I will not patron this establishment ever again and I would urge you do the same. Only go to this location if you truly have time on your hands otherwise its apologies...
