California Fish Grill — Restaurant in Phoenix

The service is so bad. There's no clear leader and no sense of urgency, seemed like the two younger men at the counter were doing their best,but it's clear they are dependent on others on the team that are not cutting it. First time here and ordered from the kiosk, I ordered 3 kids meals ( one extra by mistake) & two adult entree's. Ordered at 5:12, food wasn't ready until 535! I was about to walk up to the counter and ask ETA, but they had several of the items we ordered just sitting on the counter waiting for the rest of the order, why not just call the name to pick up? Half the items were cold! You order from the kiosk and it asks for a top, I figured if service was good I would leave cash, but I ordered from kiosk and have to retrieve all the ordered food from counter. They handled me the drink cups, one cup short, order was ready, and I noticed two more drinks were shorted from order, I had to go back up to the counter again, ordered the fish and chips no tartar sauce, I went back up to the counter again to ask if the fish came with sauce, i think it was the manager said yes how many do you want? I said one, I didn't know they were super small, so I said can I please have another one, she asked me how many pieces of fish did I order? Lol really? I sit back down, they gave us two forks for 4 people! Got up again to ask for more utensils! Fish and chips had no lemon, I got tired of asking for stuff, what service am I tipping for?

The food was good but the receptionist was very bad in dealing I gave this restaurant another chance and the same employee last time was bad in dealing she was very racist she is the oldest and wears glasses and ties her hair I will not return to this restaurant again I tried in California and I always go there and the employees were very friendly in my last experience in this restaurant this employee was very bad and I asked her her name and she changed her behavior in the end but this time it is the same thing she was racist as if she was throwing us out of the restaurant. The girl at the cashier was nice but we didn't give her a chance to talk to us she was interfering in everything and when we talked to her she moved her lips in a way that she didn't like what we were saying and she passed by the table and looked at us in a bad way and with disgust and when we asked her to clean a big table for us because we were a big number she was very upset and the girl at the cashier came to clean the table but she prevented her and stayed longer to clean the table and when I paid my bill I asked for more sauces and paid for them and asked for juice and drinks and juice for the children but she didn't give them to us and when my husband told her that we asked for these things she didn't believe me and said give me the bill so I can check. I hope I don't see her again and I won't bring her back to this restaurant because of her and I don't hope this thing and behavior happens to...

It was a busy lunchtime. So, it took a little while for our food to come. Once it came, though, yumm! There were a lot of vegetarian choices for the main dishes and sides. The mushrooms in my veggie bowl were delectable. I'm not a huge fan of mushrooms, and I couldn't get enough of these because they were so well seasoned. I had to double-check that they were actually mushrooms. The fish tacos smelled great, and though I don't eat fish, I was tempted. The onions were cooked to perfection. and the fish smelled so good. Considering this is called the California FISH Grill, I would have expected the restaurant to smell a little fishy. Nope, it was great, very clean. We also had the fried, breaded green beans, I forgot to take a picture before we scarfed those down. The veggie bowl had everything cooked perfectly. The brown rice was just right. The zucchini was crisp and tasty. I had enough to take home leftovers. They also have great drink offerings at the soda fountain. The typical Pepsi and Diet Pepsi, Ice Tea, and a fruit herbal tea. But the soda station had a bunch of cream soda style sodas to choose from. There was a vanilla cream and a pineapple cream soda. It's really interesting.
