Fire the kid in the drive thru. I work at a Taco Bell for my first job when I was 16 years old and I made precisely zero mistakes ringing people up because I was taught mathematics in third grade. If you give someone exact change and then you have to explain to them how that works, they do not belong in a cash register. Fire the kid or put him on the frying machine or something like that. He doesn't belong in a situation handling money. Also, his attitude makes it seem like the job is a fantastic burden for him so perhaps he doesn't really require it in the first place. Whatever the case, every McDonald's is the same and the only thing that separates them is the staff. Don't let your restaurant be terrible. Also, what is the story with ketchup? Am I honestly the only person left on the planet who enjoys dipping french fries in ketchup? I am not even given the opportunity to ask for ketchup before a bag is thrust out the window at me. I ordered fries, you should just put ketchup in the bag. If a ketchup packet is such a financial burden that you cannot afford to give them to everyone, then at the very least you should ask people in the drive-thru if they would like ketchup if they have ordered french fries. Read moreWe arrived at the restaurant at 9:50pm, the dining room is supposed to close at 11p.m. When we arrived there was an employee outside next to an SUV smoking marijuana. He informed us that the dining room closed early because they were short staffed but there were 4 plus employees inside, not including the one outside smoking an illegal substance. Another customer came to the restaurant and opened the door bc an employee had just brought out a mobile order. Apparently he asked if they would take his order bc he received a bag of food. We asked that employee to do the same for us and he cordially obliged. I am going to contact corporate to complain, I just wish I had received the employee's name that was conducting an illegal activity while he was on the clock, and gotten the name of the employee that took our order because if you ask me- he went above and beyond for us, the other customer and the company. He deserves a raise or a very high accolade for his first rate customer service...
Read moreI did not go to this McDonalds on this day but was across the street at BMO Harris bank. I wanted to deposit two checks into my established account. 1) I had to wait and wait and wait. After finally handing checks in I had to wait 10 more minutes before they came back and said 2) problem with checks because made out to 'x' & 'y' & me. The other two had endorsed them but they required both others to be there. Also said all three had to be on same account. They have jobs. Besides, one of the endorsers was able to get check from me and other party and cash at his bank. These were insurance payments and done frequently this way. Long story cut to medium- 3) I closed my not small accounts and went back to my old bank. Told 'x' what happened and they said they used to have account there but found them to be horrible and closed their account also. And, previously gave me issues about depositing cash... my wife makes tips. What's problem...
