When will the 4.5 star rating be possible on Maps? We may never know. This has extremely crappy directions from the 101- we eventually turned off Maps and got there on our own. But once we got to the parking lot and inside we were extremely happy we got there. We were welcomed at the door by the maitre d, Brad, who seated us at a nicely lit table with white tablecloth and silverware setting. We ordered a bottle of Malbec wine and Brad poured it beautifully- the wine was a nice bottle and very good.
We ordered our entrees and then enjoyed some warm bread and a house salad. Both were wonderful. Only complaint for spouse was no parmesan on the table to have oil (which was present on table) and cheese with the bread.
Entrees arrived and we enjoyed them fully. Wife had Linguine in Clam sauce which she loved. Her only complaint was there were no open clams on the plate with the serving but she stated there were clams aplenty in the dish and the taste was superb. She was very pleased with the taste and serving size (she brought about 1/3 home). I had Veal Marsala which was served with a small side of tomato sauce pasta. The veal was pounded thin and cooked perfectly- it was easy to cut, flavorful, sauce was perfect and mushrooms were also perfect. The pasta side was an excellent complementary dish to the veal and was also perfectly cooked. I finished my plate eagerly and sucked up some sauce with some of the bread at the end. We both were extremely pleased with these outstanding entrees.
We finished our meal with a piece of white chocolate cheesecake (awesome!) and a piece of tiramisu (also awesome!). We were treated to an after dinner aperitif with a nice minty flavor before dessert arrived which we sipped slowly and finally finished after dessert. Wonderful touch by the staff.
Check for all including the bottle of Malbec (we took about 1/3 home with us which was nice) was under $100- this was a wonderful meal both in taste and service. Brad and staff should be commended for their friendly and attentive service and a superb meal experience both in taste and a welcoming attitude. Definitely a restaurant that we...
Read moreI got invited out to eat here with family for the first time and unfortunately, didn't enjoy it as much as I hopped for. đ
The chicken Alfredo reviews and photos looked absolutely amazing online and made my mouth water. I was craving homemade chicken Alfredo so badly, as I missed making it from scratch for my mom; a recipe my sister taught me. Yet when I took my first bite, I was immediately met with disappointment. The Alfredo sauce was just so bland! It needed either more Parmesan cheese or seasonings or both! The noodles tasted fresh and made from scratch, but would have been much better with a well prepared sauce. The chicken however, was grilled nicely and had good flavor. Truly though, when you're ordering Alfredo you want a dish that is thick, tasty, and creamy! With a sauce that wasn't seasoned well, how can you say it advertises the dishes name properly!?! Also, the sauce to noodle ratio was not even; too much noodles compared to the sauce amount.
The establishment on the other hand, was truly beautiful. We had lovely staff come to serve plates and take them away all with a friendly demeanor. Our server however, seemed like he was really trying to "sales pitch" their daily/exclusive menu rather than being personable with us.
Overall, while the restaurant is beautiful and there is mostly kind staff, be wary of some of the bland meals (I also tried my dad's veal which was a bit tough and okay flavor wise, though I've never had veal before and don't know if its texture should be like that.) I think the best parts were truly the house salad and starter breads they give you rather than...
Read moreI had a bad experience going to this restaurant. I made reservations well in advance for a special occasion. Brian greeted us when my party of five walked in, and he showed us to a tiny round table. Initially I thought he was kidding. The table was so small, and it was tucked in the corner with the walls encroaching on where we were supposed to be sitting. The table was also so close to the neighboring two tables that the back of the seats between people sitting at two different tables were almost touching. I politely asked if we could sit at a bigger table, to which Brian responded "I don't think so" in a haughty tone. I would have walked out of the restaurant then if it weren't for the special occasion and not wanting to disappoint other people in my party. The dining experience was cramped, as expected. We couldn't have both the small side salad and the main dish on the table at the same time, because it was simply too small. The house salad did taste very good, though. It had little red beets in it. The main dishes were okay, but the Marinara sauce was very bland and reminded me of store-bought sauce. I had expected more from the food for the high prices charged. Overall I was very disappointed with my experience, and I will not...
