Review for LeDu Thai

LeDu Thai is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning ambiance and a great location, but my experience left me feeling a mix of disappointment and hope.

When I arrived, there was no host or anyone at the front to guide customers on where to go or how to order. After waiting, I had to approach the bar to figure things out. The bartender, who was the only one able to take orders, was busy making drinks, so I had to wait again. After finally placing my pick-up order and waiting another 20 minutes, I went home only to find that they had made my order wrong. I specifically ordered beef with my noodles but was given chicken, which I absolutely can’t stand.

That said, the food itself was undeniably delicious—full of flavor, fresh, and incredibly satisfying despite the mix-up. The beauty of the space and the quality of the food make me believe this place has great potential. It’s possible they are still new and working out operational kinks, so I’ll definitely give them another chance. I just hope they can improve on these minor but crucial service details to match the quality of their food...

Went in around 2:00-2:30 pm. The food was great, the presentation of the food was really nice, we got the larb mushroom with a mild spice level it was supper delicious and savory, I ended getting the crab fried rice and my girlfriend got the pad Thai with beef, both of the dishes ended up super great, the service was amazing as well we were seated basically as soon as we walked in and both of the waitresses were great they showed amazing patience and consistently checked on us to make sure everything was going well, our main dishes were brought to us pretty fast and the food tasted fresh and was still hot when given to us and again the presentation of it was amazing, the atmosphere was really nice and calming nothing to over whelming, and they were playing great not over the top music, I don’t understand why people are complaining about the food because it was all great and I eat Thai food pretty often and same goes for the service no one was rude and showed great customer service even refilling our water pitcher after we...

I love Thai food, particularly the dishes that are not usually found at the typical take-out-thai places that are everywhere. One of my overall favorite dishes of any type is Gai Pad Krapow, and the version here was fantastic. The other standout for me was the hat yai fried chicken. As a note, the spice levels here are on the high side, so if you are sensitive to heat, order a level down from usual.

Overall I will definitely have this place in my frequent rotation. For those who routinely go to these types of places in PHX, I would put it on par with Glai Baan. The food is close, but not quite to the level of LomWong, and the drinks are not quite as inventive as Mr Baan, but the big benefit of LeDu I think is that their menu is more approachable and their prices are more reasonable. Finally, the building/atmosphere is nice inside, but it will get a bit loud as it is one huge open space. If you can get a table in back (by the curtains) it is a much...

This place is so good that we went here twice in one week. If you like authentic Thai food (and especially spice), you’ve gotta check this place out. I recommend trying one noodle entree, one rice entree and one curry dish! Our favorite curries so far have been Penang curry (very strong lemon grass flavor and spice w/ beef) and the tumeric curry with fresh crab meat (such an insane, dynamic combo of flavors with the rice noodles soaking up all the flavor). The only rice dish we’ve tried is the crispy pork belly and gai lan because we can’t stop ordering it. Simple, but extremely well done and delicious. The pad Kee mao and pad see ew were delicious! If you like spice, go with the pad Kee mao. But the pad see ew (without spice) was also very delicious and more balanced with vegetables. Wide noodles used in both dishes are chewy and not too soft. I think the chicken wings appetizer is just okay. We will be back to try more dishes!!!

My family loved this place! Everyone really enjoyed their cocktails, the server was friendly and attentive, and the decor was super cute. For appetizers we went for the fried chicken, larb mushroom and magic noodles. The noodles were so fun because they pour a sauce over it that actually changes the color of the noodles, making it ā€œmagic.ā€ Each one was super tasty, mushrooms definitely had a kick! They will ask you what spice level you want. We did mild for my mom and it still had a great kick but not too much. Crab fried rice was also pretty good. For entree I ordered the kra pow crispy pork belly which was delicious and spicy! We ordered 3 desserts and could’ve ordered all 4. We got the Thai tea custard which you dip Texas toast in, absolutely amazing, super light and flavorful! We also got the mango sticky rice, which was good and pretty standard as far as this dessert goes. We would love to come back sometime!
