My fiancée and I decided to check this place out since we were in downtown Phoenix and the place was hyped up as a great brunch place.
...That may have been one of the most mediocre brunch experiences I've ever had.
We waited nearly an hour and a half for our food after ordering. Apparently their kitchen staff was short today. Okay, no problem it happens. But they just kept seating people. I could see their order status screen from my seat and every single table was flashing red. They could have let folks know "Hey we're short today it's going to be approximately such and such wait" but nope! We were seated, ordered quickly and then waited. And waited. And waited.
The service was also sub-par at best. You'd think with that wait time we'd have wait staff apologizing or even attempting to provide above average service to balance it out? Again - Nope! We barely saw our waitress, she didn't offer say more warm coffee since it was cold by the time the food was arriving, nothing. Another member of the wait staff saw we were frustrated at our wait and said they'd talk with the manager to knock a bit off the bill as an apology. Got our bill and turns out that was lip service.
And then the food arrived. Good lord it was mid. I've legit had better breakfast food at Dennys but at least I get Dennys prices. Instead I got the blandest biscuits and gravy I've ever had. I've had white bread with more flavor.
And lastly, the music was just too loud. I don't hate the vibe they're going for, it was fun, but when my waitress straight up missed part of my order cause she didn't hear it? Then clearly the music is too loud. And because the wait service was so mediocre, I didn't even know she missed it until my food arrived over an hour after it was ordered.
Don't believe the hype. This place is...

Came here for the first time this morning after months of anticipation. My partner and I went with 3 of our friends for Sunday funday. It started out ok. The atmosphere was a bit loud, but we felt with that as I figured that was just the way things were. The service was lacking, but it was busy, so we just took that time to order drinks and catch up. 3 out of 5 of us ordered the chicken and waffles. 2 of our order, the chicken was not fully cooked. The manager took my order back and took my friends chicken. 20 minutes had passed, I hadn’t gotten my food, so I told our server that we had other plans, to cancel my order, and asked to speak to the manager. Our server ended up being the manager, so she had “Elle”, “the owners daughter” according to her. Our server told her what happened. She proceeded to actually argue that they knew what they were doing and “chicken does not bleed”. She then left and talked with our server to get our check. Atleast 5 minutes had passed and I noticed that they were talking at the back bar. I went up to the bar and heard her saying the same thing to the manager. I interrupted and told her that we had googled the exact opposite. We knew that but had to obviously prove that to her. She started yelling at me that she didn’t care and we need to leave, all while raising her hands in an aggressive manner. She then proceeded to tell me that she knew as soon as we walked in, all we wanted was free food. I then asked for her name, she said it was none of my business. So I got it from an employee. We paid for our drinks as the manager comped my partners and my food and left. We will...
Read moreDon’t come here! We came here on a weekday. I can’t imagine how the weekend is. Not sure how long this place will last but judging by their service and their below subpar food, it won’t last long. Our server was a bit unwelcoming and unfriendly to say the least. Got there at 8… only two other tables around. We had to hunt her down so we can put in our coffee order. By 8:15 in the morning, coffee should still be warm, almost too hot. Mine was almost cold. I waited 10 mins for our server to come around but couldn’t find her … I finally got up and asked the lady in the kitchen for hot coffee. She proceeded to boil my coffee in a pot🙄. Our server finally resurfaced and I asked her why couldn’t I just get a fresh cup of coffee instead of the cook boiling it from a pot? She then brought me what seems to be a fresher (hot) cup of coffee…thank you for that.
Food shouldn’t taste dry if it’s fresh. Don’t order beyond pancakes, they were the only thing on the menu that tasted fine.
As far as beverage, It’s a little upsetting for a breakfast joint to serve luke warm coffee in the morning, so I didn’t even bother ordering any other beverage.
The food runners seemed friendly.
I will never come here again. I recommend Boozys by desert ridge….the food, drinks and the service are amazing!!!! That is where we normally go but we wanted to try this joint…and it was very...
