My daughter lives 7 hours away and every time she comes home, the first place we go is Vintner's Table. It has been our place to relax, catch up, etc. for quite some time. The wine is always outstanding, the food is always great and staff have always been pleasant. We had never had a bad experience until November of this year. The past three times she has been home, we have had three pretty awful experiences. We visited on November 10 and upon walking in the door, we went to sit at a table by the window that we really like. An employee came flying over to us repeatedly yelling loudly "You can't sit there! You can't sit there!" They were having live music and that is where the performance was going to be set up. We understood that but his approach was terrible. When we went to order our food, they were out of most of the food items we wanted. We shook it off and returned on November 23rd. Instead of using the QR code ordering, they now transferred to waitstaff taking the order. We waited well over 15 minutes to even see a staff member. We each ordered a drink and some food. Our food arrived promptly but we had no napkins, no silverware, no plates and no drinks. We attempted to flag down our waiter but had no luck. Our drinks were delivered 10 minutes later and we asked for napkins, plates, etc. He indicated he would be right back. He went into the back but did not return. I eventually went over to the young man who was preparing the food and asked him for the plates, napkins, etc. He quickly assisted us and gave us all we needed. Our waiter eventually emerged and I asked for the check. We waited another 15 minutes for the check. When I attempted to purchase a sangria kit and a bottle of wine at the counter, I was blatantly ignored until I finally asked if someone could help me. Again, because we love Vintners, we brushed it off and returned on December 27. Upon arriving, we went to sit down as we have done countless times before. There was no sign saying Please wait to be seated. The same young man who yelled at us on 11/10 came flying over to our table and yelled, "Do you have reservations? Do you have reservations?" I replied that I was sorry, I did not know we needed them. He seemed very angry so I asked him if it was OK if we stayed or should we leave. There were multiple open tables. He rolled his eyes at me and said No it is fine to stay but next time you need to make reservations. We sat down and waited for menus, etc. I am not sure if he was angry because we didn't have reservations but we were ignored for over 20 minutes. People came in after us and had their food and drinks before we even got menus. The young man finally brought our menus 25 minutes after we arrived. We were just getting ready to leave. He gave us menus and disappeared again. When he returned about 10 minutes later, we gave him our order. Again, our food arrived well before our drinks and we had no silverware, plates, etc. Our drinks finally came and while we enjoyed them and our food immensely, it was not nearly as pleasant of an experience as we were used to. I finally flagged down our server for the check. (We had been there for almost 2 hours at this point.) He brought the check. I gave him my card and he disappeared with my card for another 10 minutes. He brought back the check and plopped it down with a pen and said nothing, no thank you, no have a great night, nothing. I signed the check and we left. We were so...
Read moreUpdate 2nd visit : This was our second visit, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the first and 100% our last . FOR THE OWNERS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO FACT CHECK ME . MADE MY RESERVATION ONLINE BOTH TIMES , I SAW ALL YOUR CAMERAS, MATCH UP BOTH MY VISITS YOU WILL SEE THE BOTH VISITS , YOU WILL SEE HOW FEW PEOPLE THERE WAS , YOU WILL SEE STAFF STANDING AROUND . CAMERAS DONT LIE . BARTENDER COULD HAVE ASSISTED BUT WAS TOLD NOT TO BY FELIPE .
I called ahead yesterday to ask why I couldn't make a reservation for four people, as I wanted to do a wine tasting with my parents who were visiting from out of town. Our first experience just roughly two weeks ago was wonderful — we spent a few hundred dollars and were seated comfortably at a table for a wine and charcuterie tasting.FOR THE OWNERS : CHECK THE CAMERAS . MATCH TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW YOU REPLIED TO.
The staff member I spoke with told me to simply make two separate reservations online, and they would push the tables together — no problem. I followed their instructions and made two reservations for noon today. Fact check me : called at 641 pm
To be clear, I don’t blame the staff on duty today. They genuinely tried to fix what seemed to be poor direction from management im told . I paid about $130 for two tastings so my parents could enjoy the experience with us, only to be told that we had to sit at the bar — on stools with no backs — which is not acceptable for older guests. I even checked my photo and transaction history to confirm that just roughly two weeks ago, we had the exact same tasting and were seated at a proper table.
The staff acknowledged this and did not argue with my account of the previous visit. They tried to make it right and explained that the bartender couldn’t leave the bar, so we would instead receive a blind tasting at our table. We agreed, trying to make the most of it.
What really left a bad taste, however, was the decision by the manager on duty, Felipe, to downgrade our experience from the original educational tasting with charcuterie to a blind tasting — supposedly due to an anticipated crowd. The place was practically empty, just like the last time we visited. That explanation didn’t add up.
We were told the rush was expected due to the Eagles game — ironic, since I’m an Eagles fan, and there were only 2 other customers there at that time and i saw maybe 7 others guest come during our time and they stayed for a very short time , also where are the t.v.s to watch the game for said " crowd" ? Oh right ...there isnt any because its NOT a sports bar ! If that’s the reason for changing our experience, it’s a weak excuse, and frankly, it felt like a lie. Pathetic
So, congrats, Felipe — you’ve lost a customer. There are plenty of wineries out there that value both new and returning guests. Between our two visits, we spent over $500. That won’t happen again.
We ended up going to the distillery down the road and spent our money there instead. A shame — great staff here, but very poor management. Disappointing. We will not be back or advise anyone to come in future many more better...
Read moreA friend raved about how excellent Vintners Table was and what a fabulous experience he had had there before so he took myself and my daughter there for a special occasion for dinner.
Our tables were sticky and uneven. I had to ask the host/server/manager (whoever) to clean the table.
We ordered a cheese/meat tray and it came with literally 5 crackers, so we had to ask for either more crackers or maybe bread. And we were told that the amount of crackers or originally came with was the "standard". Ugh
We ordered some tomato thing that had cheese on/in it- it came in like a french onion soup bowl. It was horrible. I swear the stewed tomatoes were straight out of a can. It was cold and almost gelatinous. Like leftovers.
I asked for a coke, I was told they "don't serve SODA in this type of establishment" only to see on the menu they offer many different types of Italian soda. Why wasn't that offered?
We ordered a few more things and honestly I can't remember what they were because they were subpar and left absolutely no lasting impression.
After dinner, my friend tried to order an espresso and was told they had run out of espresso the DAY BEFORE and had none. Really? You can literally buy espresso beans anywhere until your next delivery comes in.
It was difficult to get the host/server/managers attention to ask for anything.
Overall, I would not recommend it.
Our tables were dirty and wobbly the entire time.
The service was lacking.
The food was not worth the money at all.
The only positive was the...
