Absolutely unacceptable behavior from the GM, but Anthony deserves a raise
I came to this McDonald’s after work and placed an order through the drive thru: a steak, egg, and cheese McGriddle meal, plus two additional McGriddles three total. After pulling off, I checked the bag and realized only two McGriddles were in it. Rather than going back through the drive-thru, I decided to go inside to get it sorted out.
There, I was greeted by Anthony, who was absolutely amazing. Calm, respectful, professional everything you’d want in customer service. I explained the situation, and he took it to Martina, who I was told is the general manager.
That’s when the situation turned ugly.
Before even speaking with me, Martina started loudly and wrongfully accusing me of trying to get “free food” and insisting I only paid for two McGriddles. I was still willing to pay for the third one without issue, but she cut me off mid-sentence, handed me the receipt like I was a problem, and walked off.
While Anthony rang me out (again, with total grace and professionalism), Martina continued loudly asking from the back, “Did he pay? Did he pay?” like I was trying to sneak something past them. The tone and assumption behind her words were offensive, unnecessary, and incredibly disrespectful.
Let me be crystal clear: No one minds paying for what they ordered. What’s unacceptable is being treated like a scammer or thief over a simple, fixable mistake. Martina’s behavior was not only unprofessional but deeply insulting and one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in years.
Anthony, on the other hand, deserves recognition. He handled the situation with grace and professionalism, even while his manager was making a scene in the back. More employees should take notes from him.
If I return, it will only be because of employees like Anthony. Martina, however, should not be in any position that involves interacting with...

Read moreCame here yesterday from coming from the hospital first time here. I Got the food I'm driving down the street. I decided to dig into my chicken nuggets. The chicken nuggets were not hot they were old and they were a little bit more on the cold side. I can tell that they were old because they tasted old dry and hard to chew. I would drive back to this McDonald's and demand it fresh food but I don't live all the way out there I live all the way out in Dunedin. I had to come all the way out to All Children's Hospital because my son had broken his finger playing football. Lesson learned will not go to this one again. Oh and the expediter that handed out our order. she had a remark to make about how many of those chicken nuggets I got. I did not order all those nuggets just for myself. I had two boys in the back of my car. I have a husband at home okay we each got one box. Just because I'm a little bit on the heavy side and I'm 180 lb does not mean that I'm going to sit there and eat 40 nuggets. When people come through ordering that much they don't want to hear your remarks. You probably didn't know that I heard that. Maybe you should stop worrying about how many nuggets people order and start worrying about getting the order fresh and right. Cuz you almost handed me somebody...
