~Nice little cafe with a plain clean industrial look. There is a regular menu and a menu for the specials. They also offer a selection of pasteries such as muffins, cookies, scones, & croissants. For food there are various burritos, sandwiches, & grilled cheese. Besides the regular drink menu they also have a fridge with things like water, sparkling water, juice, cold brew, & coca cola. ~The lady who took our order was very nice and helpful. Everything was clean and the amenities were fully stocked. Feels like a comfy place to get some work done with all the windows letting in so much light. The seating is about the average amount and there is wifi too. ~Other items they have for sale are coffee beans, coffee making equipment, tea, honey, cups/mugs, branded merchandise, chocolate bars, granola bars, & oatmeal. ~The parking was a bit confusing since there is no parking lot but there is a few parking spots next to the building. However I can't tell if that is part of next door, another part of the building, or for the cafe. Just to be sure we didn't get towed away or anything we played it safe by just paying the kiosk to park on the street across...
Read moreI love trying out new cafes in pittsburgh, and this was on my list for a long time. I have to say I was extremely sceptic of the almost perfect rating that mechanic has received, but I have to now admit that it totally deserves it. Located in a quiet street in Shadyside, the cafe is spacious and extremely well with a lot of natural lighting. The decor is minimal, and there is plenty of seating indoors as well as some chairs on the outside. I had the iced vanilla latte, which was extremely delicious. With the right amount of syrup and sweetness. Both the barista is working were extremely sweet and welcoming. I visited on a Sunday afternoon, and it was pretty packed with almost everybody working from the cafe. my only complaint would be that it needs more power socket, specially since people mostly come...
Read morePerfectly fine neighborhood cafe. I ordered the single orgin espresso which was nice to see as an option. It was their Columbian blend I believe. It was pretty modest in its flavor profile. Not particularly bold in fruitiness nor cerialness. Extracted well-enough. Overall not their forte but perfectly acceptable. The service was absolutely wonderful. Baristas were happy to serve and well informed. The cafe itself is charming but maybe a bit sterile in comparison to others. As far as coffee shoppes go it leans towards appealing to a more posh market yet hasn't quite got the basics down. None of this should deter you from visiting. If you just like coffee this...
