Kung Fu Tea — Restaurant in Plainfield

My family has been coming to this specific Kung Fu Tea, every Saturday, for about six months! Needless to say, we are obsessed. Even when it's busy, it's quick. The ladies that work behind the counter are super sweet and fast paced.

Our 8 year old and my go to order: Strawberry Lemonade with grape poppers

My husbands go to order: Strawberry Lemonade with strawberry poppers

Our 14 year olds go to order: Milk tea with tapioca gummy bubbles

Every time we go in, the atmosphere is cute, fun and clean.

They have some games to play while you wait. Our order is always ready as we're in the middle of playing Connect Four.

It's super chill and relaxed in this place.

I don't think that they are too expensive, either. Under $7 for a large, tasty and refreshing drink.

The building is kept cool when the temp is hot, outside. It's so nice to go in and be able to cool off.

It says that they have garage parking on their Yelp! Business page. That is false. It is a regular parking lot in a strip of businesses. The parking is great. Plenty of spots and not too far from the business. No outside seating; which isn't a big deal for our family. We get our order and head to a nature park.

I’ve went here a few times and I’ve had okay/good service experience. The rating is mainly for the lack of flavor. I’ve tried many different drinks and every single one of them are lacking. It either tastes watered down or like there’s a hint of tea with a lot of milk. I’ve had boba tea from many other places and I’ve never had an experience where I’ve questioned if there was any tea in my drink until Kung Fu Tea. I hope the issue with this will get better. Also hope that people might get trained better at how to prepare the boba. I honestly only want the Wow bubbles or the boba cooked in brown sugar because it’s the most flavorful thing I’ve had in a drink and it’s the only boba that has ever been consistently cooked throughout. So if you do order I highly recommend you choose something that you can get the brown sugar...

They don’t care to follow mask mandates, also do not have social distancing measures & are at full occupancy. Take your boba interests elsewhere... personally, I’d recommend Moar Tea or Latea in Downtown Indy.

I asked the cashier why they aren’t listening to federal mandate regulations... and she said they don’t care what customers do.

Edit: I’ve had Kung Fu Tea in Plano (TX) & Los Angeles (CA), and the brand is excellent so this is an utter shame and disappointment. I truly hope management reads this and gets with the program... update your business operation with covid guidelines in...
