Honestly if it could be rated in the negative I would. Which is sad because I usually find positive things about most places. I will say there was one lady there (sorry she was in a safety vest could not read a name tag) she was moving quickly and really making the effort. Her co workers how ever were all moving at the speed of sloooow. The would shuffle from place to place. We were there for nearly a half hour waiting on our order. It was NOT busy at all a few cars in drive thru we went inside. There were two other ladies also rather put out by the service. One had apparently ordered on the app, came in had to explain the ordered she commented she didn't think they even had it and waited a further 20 minutes. I notice a bad sitting to the side of the fry station and went back to the counter and asked about our order and was told it was waiting on the onion rings. I voiced concern over the rest of the order getting cold was told oh no it a warm counter. Mind you, the young woman who told me it was waiting on onion rings was the person that was literally shambling about putting things I to the fryer. By the time she had packaged the onion rings the rest of order in the bags had been sitting for 9 minutes, yes I did notice this wouldn't you? Knowing you order is just sitting there? It had been there for 3 to 5 minutes when I asked if our order was ready as the drive thru was empty and there was one other gentleman there that arrived 20 minutes after me. Needless to say the burger and patty melt were cold when I arrived home,no it was not the drive I live 2 minutes away. So I microwaved the burger patty for my mother and ate the pattie melt cold. Oh and the onion rings we were waiting on... those were not hot either. I would probably have understood had it been a busy time but it was not, had they been short staffed I saw at least 6 people there, I mean I really did try to understand why this happened. The one thing I did notice was none of those people there seemed to be part of a team, there was no constant communication with them relaying times etc on items being ready so that perhaps it could be coordinated to be complete at the same time. It was a bunch of individuals doing their own thing at their own pace. And no concern at all about customer service. I know its hard out there to fill these jobs and I know they can be thankless, I worked convenience stores, grocery stores, oil changes places.... and yes I know they are underpaid, but you know what it's your job have some pride and show some ambition. And I you are unhappy there ask yourself why? Maybe it's the lack of teamwork? Maybe try to be the person there that creates...
Read moreJULY 18, 2025 @ 10:25 PM This was my 1st visit here. I had a problem with the Whataburger App. It showed an offer, listed twice in July with no expiration date, for a Free Side with Purchase of Patty Melt, but I couldn't access and use it. No problem. The Manager, Naureen Asad, did what good managers do. She acknowledged the problem, and took my order which included a Free Side of Onion Rings. They were delicious. Then I realized it was after midnight, so I ordered breakfast to go. JULY 19 @ 12:06 AM. I had a coupon for a Free Breakfast on a Bun with purchase of a Breakfast on a Bun. I think the man who took my order, Ralph, was the late shift overnight Manager. He was very knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. Just like the previous Manager, Naureen. Maria and Ashley helped me, too. Thank you all! JULY 25 UPDATE: A friend & I ordered in the drive through. It was very busy. I knew I had time to go inside and use the restroom. Both Naureen & Ralph were there. I thanked them for their excellent customer service last week. Kattie helped me tonight. Once again, thank you all! AUGUST 1 UPDATE: I had a problem with the app. Naureen & Maria helped me. I had a coupon for a free Pico de Gallo with the purchase of fries & drink. It was all good. A shout out to Kattie, and everyone in the kitchen. AUGUST 8 UPDATE: Today is Whataburger's 75th Anniversary / Birthday. They're offering Whataburgers for 75 cents if you have the app. I do. I added some onion rings, too. Jovan & Naureen greeted me. Jovan took my order. Kattie was in the kitchen. They were very busy. Happy Anniversary / Birthday Whataburger! AUG 12 UPDATE: Ashley took my order. Tae cooked my food, brought it to me, and visited for a couple seconds. Ralph & Kattie were just leaving. I had a coupon for a Free Breakfast on a Bun with purchase of a Breakfast on a Bun. I had 1 sausage & 1 bacon. They were good as always. SEPTEMBER 10 UPDATE: Jovan greeted me with her smile & always positive personality. Then she took my order. Today I got a Double Meat Whataburger FREE with the purchase of medium fries and a medium drink. Jasbinder approved my special substitution request. Thank you! Naureen, Maria, Deantae, Jagmeet, and Big Niecy were also here. Good people who work here + good food + good customer service = 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐...
Read moreDoesn't matter if you go through drive thru or go inside to order, it's at least a 20 minute wait regardless of how small your order is. This is exactly why I do not like Whataburger. If it was after 10 PM and you only had to wait 20 minutes that would be good, but it was only around 10 AM with 3 people in the drive thru that had already ordered. There also was not a line when I came inside to order because I had an order cancelled at another place for not picking it up in time due to the long wait here.
This location did not appear to be understaffed with at least 6-8 workers in the back. Attitudes weren't terrible, but weren't great listening to their conversations and watching as everybody moved around at their own pace. I get the service industry is tough, demanding, and can be tolling for the speed that is expected but as a company, Whataburger needs to do better and look into their logistics, aim for better standards/speed of service. These days for the price of things and the time wasted here, I could have gone to a sit-down restaurant and enjoyed a better meal.
The cinnamon roll here was hard; could have been from waiting the first 20 minutes then another 20 minutes for a second order and then my drive time. The pancakes tasted horrible like a metal grill. I will go to the funny name place to get a better cinnamon roll since the golden arches discontinued theirs. I just cannot ever do this place again for those items or really anything else, my time is more valuable.
Lastly, I can't fail to mention the homeless presence that is always around here, but what do you expect with a workforce location and DART...
