When this restaurant first opened, the food was amazing, very close to the Pollo Campero from Guatemala, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, after a few months away, I came back today and was very disappointed. The chicken is still good, but everything else has gone downhill. The coleslaw tasted strange, almost like it had been left out too long, not safe, and definitely concerning. The fries were cold as usual, and this time it looked like they ran out and mixed in cassava without even letting me know. No sauces, no utensils… am I supposed to eat coleslaw with my fingers? It’s really unfortunate to see the service drop this much. If they don’t make changes soon, I doubt this place will last. Hoping they turn things around. Attached the few fries mixed with cassava.

Decided to try this new spots that’s been under construction next to ALDIs. Don’t think I’d be going back. It’s not great but it’s not terrible. The cost is on par with other similar restaurants but the size of the portion is underwhelming compared to other places. Ordered a spicy chicken sandwich, empanada, and a 4 piece meal. Didn’t get a spicy chicken but got a regular chicken sandwich - very basic, not very flavorful. Empanada was good, has a southwestern taste, but not crispy and a bit soggy. 4 piece meal was very underwhelming and similar flavor profile, very small portion size considering how small leg and thighs were. I’ll chalk this up to them working through kinks since they just recently opened and might give them a second shot in the future.

Pollo Campero in Plantation is a gem! The food is consistently delicious, with a perfect blend of spices that keeps us coming back for more. The fried and grilled chicken is always juicy and flavorful, and the sides complement the meals perfectly (yuca frita, cole slaw, fried plantains, fries), the dessert (flan). The staff is friendly, welcoming, and provides excellent service every time. The restaurant is perfectly clean and has a pleasant atmosphere, making it a great place for a family meal or a quick bite. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience!

August 2025 - I had to come back and revisit my review. I received a coupon in the mail for a free 4 piece meal and decided that I would give it another try. After my experience a few months ago, I was very pleasantly surprised. It seems that they have turned things around. Well done to them. June 2025 - I visited today for the first time, and was very confused at the overall experience. Two ladies who took my order said they were in training. They were very nice, but had no clue about anything on the menu. A manager came over to answer my questions and seemed equally lost. I asked what was in the Campero Bowl and she answered, "chicken". We finally made it through ordering our meal, and were a little taken aback when our food was served on (chipped) reusable plates. It just seemed unusual for a place with a drive-through. We asked for a knife and they did not have any. How about a spoon for the beans? Nope. Napkins? They're kept behind the counter. Then, mid-meal, the cashier came over and asked me to take out my receipt so I could fill out the survey... The food was okay, but it was a very odd experience overall. I am not in a...

I usually go through the drive-thru to pick up food and take it home, since this is our favorite chicken place. But yesterday, I had the chance to go inside the location in Plantation, and I was really disappointed by what I witnessed. One of the employees was treating a woman clearly identified as a new hire in a very rude and unkind way. It was honestly upsetting to see. The interaction showed a clear lack of respect and what felt like discrimination toward someone who is clearly in training and still learning.

In general, the staff seemed annoyed or bothered just by the fact that customers were walking in to order food. The in person service was honestly terrible.

Not to mention, they also offer two free pieces of chicken in exchange for a five star review, which I find very unreasonable coming from the manager or cashier. If your service is truly good, you don’t need to offer food people ill gladly give you five stars on their own. That feels very dishonest and...
