I'll be up front, I'm not a huge wine drinker and have a limited knowledge of wine, but I was incredibly disappointed with my experience here. I was in town for an education conference and wanted to stop for a bottle of wine and loved the look and feel of the place, but the service is where I felt, quite honestly, like I was duped. I asked specifically for a sparkling Italian wine, knowing that it is a sweet wine. I said I only drink sweet, like Moscato, and I don't like red and I don't like dry. I said this several times, that I wanted something sweet, that I don't really like any other kind of wine. He then gave me a bottle of red, which I was skeptical about purchasing, so I asked, will this be sweet like a Moscato? Yes. Will this be bubbly, like a champagne or sparkling wine? Yes. As you can imagine from the rating, it was none of the above. It was a regular red wine, that although it wasn't dry, was not sparkling and was not sweet. Now I have a bottle of wine that I can't drink and am out that money. I could care less if he had said that he didn't have what I was looking for, there were some Moscato's there that I would have been happy to take instead, but instead it seemed like he just...
Read moreThey had a lot of great items but I agree with the other reviewer that the prices were high. When I purchased my items, she asked me how much I paid for it when I bought it directly from the source, which I thought was odd. The beer selection was okay, but nothing special and also priced a bit high. I buy beer a lot so I'm familiar with what places charge, whether it's a large or small business.
I was also asked three times if I could be helped, which made me uncomfortable. If I need help, I'll ask. On the last time, I finally said, "Nope! I'm done!", just to get out of there. They were either bored or pushing me out but either way, it was an uncomfortable experience. It wasn't like they were doing stuff around the store and just casually checking in, she made a point to walk directly toward me. The only reason I bought what I did was it was a hard to find item. Next time, I'll just buy online and...

I used to really like this shop, but it's changed in the last few years. The service hasn't been quite as good as I remember it, and they stopped carrying the vast majority of the most popular brewing yeast (at least for wine and mead). Now that I have to order my yeast online it doesn't make sense to come here anymore.
ORIGINAL from 2017:
Great shop. It's not a huge place, but it's packed full with a surprisingly large variety.
Whether you're after a huge array of various refrigerated beer, wine, coffee beans, loose leaf bulk tea, brewing supplies... they seemed to have everything you might be after.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices seamed reasonable (but maybe a tad high on some things, to be expected with a national chain that doesn't have a "Mart" at the end of it). Overall, highly recommended and I'm looking forward to...
