Hoffman's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Point Pleasant Beach

We didn't have a good experience here. I asked to use there restrooms and was directed out around the back and that's when it all went down hill. The restroom floor and toilet was covered in urine. There was no soap in both despencers. There was no paper and you would need a PhD to turn on the tap. I then noticed a sign on the wall witch said "staff please wash your hands after use". This is a ice cream shop! Had I not promised my wife and 3 children ice cream we would be gone like a bad out of hell. I went back inside where my pregnant wife was queuing for ice cream. She said she needed to use the restroom too and I explained the situation. She had a look, came back in and called the manager. The manager didn't care and this was very evident. The floor in the shop hadn't been cleaned properly in days/ever. We had to clean our own table witch hadn't been cleaned in hours/days. My wife decided to complain to the manager again. The manager says that "there was soap in the dispenser and that you mustn't be able to use it". I never want to enter this dirty place again. We should have left at the very start. Badly run and...

First time here. When we arrived the staff seemed really bored and disinterested in their jobs and like they had better places to be. They quickly rushed us through ordering and sent us on our way. My sisters and dad and I were all happy with our cups in the end but my mom most certainly was not. She ordered cookie dough and was surprised to find only one cookie dough chunk in the entire cup! She brought it in to ask in case there had been a mix up. Unfortunately she was told by one of the employees that when a vat gets near the bottom there are usually not a lot of cookie dough pieces left and since her scoop had finished out the vat that that was most likely the case and she’d have to settle. No refund offered, no new scoop offered, just a send off. My mom is usually not one to complain but felt that this was extremely unfair and not very good customer service. Walked up to the window on a Tuesday night without a sole on line. Ordered a 1/2 gallon of ice cream to take home to my family. The young girl, clearly uncomfortable with what she was about to say, tells me “sorry sir you have to order online”. Miffed, I turned around to make sure I wasn’t missing something, like a herd of people that suddenly jumped in line. Nope, again, not a sole. I politely said, I’m a small business owner too and would never let a customer walk away. There’s no one here. Why can’t you serve me a 1/2 gallon. She responded “sorry sir that’s our policy”. This small time business is so arrogant, insulting and rude. They clearly don’t need the money so I’ll oblige and spend my hard earned money elsewhere.
