Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Pooler

Went with a friend tonight and we were both disappointed with the food and service. Firstly, the wait was about 45 minutes, long but hey, it's Saturday night so I don't mind.

Next we are finally seated and the floor beneath is filled with menus, a sugar tray, and leftover chewed appetizer just right on my feet. The booth wasn't properly clean either. Conveniently the manager was directly across from us so I call him over to get this cleaned. He never bothered to check on us to see if we were satisfied throughout our entire stay. Already, I'm starting to lose my appetite.

Now we finally get our food, which already took another 45 minutes to prepare. I ordered shrimp tacos and my friend ordered a burger. After taking a bite, I felt one of the shrimp tails were not peeled off properly so I felt something sticking in my mouth. Not pleasant. Then I noticed some of the other shrimp burnt and tasted like plastic. I had fries instead of rice and they were completely stale and the black beans tasted like plastic as well...

My friend's burger was completely burnt and his fries weren't that much better either. Including a $1 tip I felt ripped off $16. Should've went to Five Guys and had a better meal for the same price.

Lastly, the bathroom seemed poorly maintained with paper towels just stacking along the floor and had a slight odor.

What happened to this place? 6 months ago the quality of food down to service was top-notch and the wait was more reasonable. Even the fries came in a nice metal box, but tonight it was all served in plastic paper. Shame how this place seems to be going...

Today we celebrated my son 15th Birthday and we a party of 15. We all having fun and just enjoying family time. So we ask the waitress could we change the tv channel to watch a different game she was like let me find the remote. About 20 minutes went by so we asked someone else and the waitress say let me go find out and she came back and was like the remote not working so we were like ok. Appetizers started to arrive and orders being called but it was the wrong table, so it was for table behind us, so no worries. So we talking and having good time with family. This lady comes from back and starts yelling and says on of my waitress is crying and says a man at our table was cursing and she said we not gonna use the Lord name in vein. We told her no one cursed at this table, my 3 kids, minister, and a few Deacons at the table. So I asked are you the manager she says yes, I asked what's your name she says Melissa. I was like look here Melissa since you are a manager you can not come to the table an accuse someone, you should have approached us differently but you came with an attitude and just went of what Erin told you. So now everyone at the table feeling a certain way. My niece talked to her and other family members. Now my 15 year old birthday is ruined by this foolishness. If you're going to manage a restaurant you have to get both sides of story and figure out the problem. I will be contacting corporate first thing Monday morning so we can resolve this issue so this doesn't happen to another family like mines. This will probably be my last visit here at...

One word for our experience last night....sad. Granted we did go in 25 minutes before closing but the place had maybe 5 tables with people sitting at them. Our waiter came over after a little while and said that he would be right back to help us......nope. After a little while another server came over and she took our drink orders which was nice. I ordered a drink from the bar and it took 15 minutes to get and when I got it the waiter said that the bar was going to be closing soon and if I wanted another one I'd have to order it now so I did knowing how long it took to get the first one. Our waiter took our order without writing anything down and we were just waiting to see what a debacle that was going to be. Well once we all got our food(that process took almost 10 minutes) it was all correct. I got the "spicy shrimp taco's" and one thing they definitely were not was spicy, I could have fed them to a small child and not been concerned. My wife and daughter both enjoyed their meals except for the fried pickles had way to much breading on them. The restaurant wasn't clean, the back of our booth chair was dirty and gooey sticky. I gave it 3 stars only because the food wasn't to bad overall and out waiter was a nice guy but not exactly the greatest at making sure we had what we needed in a semi timely fashion. If the placed would have been packed I could see why things took so long but it wasn't even close. I probably won't...
