Grounds Of Grace Coffee — Restaurant in Pooler

I really want this coffee shop to do well but with that said, there is room for improvement.

The seating situation is impractical: two long tables that are often taken up by people working on large scale projects with papers scattered everywhere and two sofa / loveseat alcoves that make it awkward for one or two people to take a seat if the space is already occupied. There is a bar with seating at the window but this is also unrealistic for people with mobility issues or small children.

Drink availability is also an issue, I stopped by at 1pm on a weekday and was told they were “ out of drip coffee” and no offer was made to make more ( so, obviously, service rating takes a hit for that too.) The baristas are friendly enough but don’t seem super knowledgeable about the drinks and have a “it’s really up to you” attitude when asking for recommendations.

With that said, the coffee IS GOOD and I LOVE the fact that they offer ceramic mugs if you plan to drink inside the cafe.

The pastries are nothing to write home about ( kinda taste day old ) but the tasty affordable Dubai chocolates at the register are a great deal and a nice little treat.

All in all, this place has stolen from from starbucks but I don’t know if it’s sustainable for the general public without...

I did a quick Google Search for a Coffee Shop Nearby so that I could enjoy some coffee while reading a book waiting for my dogs to complete their appointments in Pooler and I saw this establishment was extremely close! The name intrigued me to begin with and the photos of the inside looked like the very type of coffee shop I was looking for. As soon as I parked and began walking in, I was excited! I entered and the entire vibe was fantastic! It is exactly as advertised - very cozy and calming! It has a ton of various types of seating, a child’s play area, an extensive menu and extremely kind and pleasant employees taking orders and making coffees. My first time going, there were three Customers ahead of me and he took my Order and called my name with my order ready to come pick it up within two minutes at max! I had the Goliath that time and it was AMAZING!

My second time, I ordered the Honey in the stock (hot) and it was ALSO AMAZING!!! I have only been twice but they are 2/2 with unique, delicious coffees, amazing customer service, fantastic vibe within, and just overall a very well maintained establishment!

Anytime I am in this area and needing caffeine, I will not be going anywhere else! This is a Must/Go-To...

I think the concept of a Christian coffee shop in pooler is a wonderful idea. The space itself is beautifully decorated, creative, and seems like it could be such a welcoming place —especially for moms with little kids or anyone looking for a cozy spot to study or work. Unfortunately, the atmosphere did not match the vision. From the moment we walked in, it was hard not to feel a sense of rejection if you don’t quite fit the “mold” of who they believe deserves to be their customer. That was really sad and disappointing, because the whole point of a place like this should be warmth and inclusion. As for the coffee, I wish I could say it was amazing, but it wasn’t. Two out of the three drinks we ordered tasted burnt and overly bitter. When we tried to talk to the barista, she was cold and dismissive, yet gave noticeably friendlier service to customers she seemed to favor. This was disheartening because the idea is truly great, and the shop has so much potential to be a positive space in the community.
