In this area, Hobby Lobby is your only choice if you are a paper crafter. The Michael’s has nothing and neither does the JoAnnes. They don’t have coupons anymore, and won’t honor other stores coupons either, but as far as paper crafting goes they have a schedule of ongoing sales that can’t be beat…one week all of their Paper Studio items are 50% off and the next week all of their Tim Holtz, Sizzix, Stamps and Stamp Pads are 40% off They also have, by far, the largest seasonal home decor department of any of the arts and crafts stores and the stuff is always reasonably priced…usually at 40% off! One star taken away for the nasty manager who likes to yell at his employees and for the fact that they are the only store (besides small boutique- type establishments) in which they don’t have a computer system that has been updated since the late 70’s/ early 80’s so there is no acanning of anything. The cashiers are forced to type in every single price and department number which means they also have to know everything that’s on sale that week, which is usually not the case, so watch yourself being rung up carefully and be prepared to know yourself what is on sale...
Read moreGreat assortment of merchandise, almost anything you want can be found here. However, beware of sale merchandise! Wife found a vase she wanted on a rack that announced 50% off. Many other identical and similar vases on the same rack. When we got to checkout the vase went through at full price. When asked the cashier replied that people remove tags from products in an effort to steal from the company, basically calling my wife a crook. Needless to say, we left the vase and a cart full of merchandise at the checkout. The $ amount involved was insignificant but the principal was huge. I refuse to shop in stores that mislead on sale pricing and then place the blame on the customer. We've had this problem before in this store but the cashier has always corrected the error after being shown the sale rack. Hopefully this was simply a grumpy employee and not a sign that the Company has declined so much in their customer service. Like I said earlier, this store has everything you might want, and is a nice place to shop, but if you shop here ignore sales items and don't worry...
Read moreHobby Lobby use to be one of my favorite places to go..... I love crafting, hosting get together. Hobby Lobby would be the place I'd let my imagination run wild and purchase flowers and other pieces of my decor. My trips to that store are becoming fewer and farther between due to the staff. They have all the nice things that I love to use, but their customer service is seriously lacking. Being a "Christian-based" store it deeply saddens me that the root values of Christianity aren't portrayed at the frontline. You almost feel as if you're a bother if you need assistance or have a question about a product.
To speak of their many products....those are plentiful! I love their selection of flowers and many other types of decor!
As long as you don't need help or want any questions amswered.....you should be good! But please don't don't disturb them by asking for assistance, it's very likely your request will not be met with a smiling face or any eagerness...
