Big Apple Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Port Saint Lucie

I will start by saying that I dont normally make reviews but this needs to catch the attention of the owner and the chef. I ordered around 9ish for take out, before ordering I asked if the tomatoes were nice and fresh and was told that they were so I ordered caprese salad, worst tomatoes ever, ordered wings WELL DONE that were barely even cooked and very slimy, and ordered baked ziti that I swear was worse than the frozen ziti from Walmart and to top it off there was hair in the baked ziti, also ordered a drink that was not with the order when picked up, needless to say that I will never order from this location again, definitely not recommended, I sent my husband to pick up order, I called after trying to eat to inform them of the mistakes, I was told that they were already closed, to save the food until the next day and to bring all of it back but they would only refund the mealy tomato caprese, needless to say my family went to bed hungry, DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS LOCATION!!!! Oh and forgot to mention that the salad that come with the ziti was also not with the order. Worst experience ever! The garlic knots were not not even cooked all the way, the chef definitely needs to be retrained!! And this all cost about $50. So...

My order (#30) rang on server POS L on 3-20-25 @ 5:46 pm, was pitiful at best. The calzone mozzarella was not melted, the ricotta cheese was refrigerator cold and grainy, the pepperoni were only as warm as they would be if left on the counter. The meat stromboli was room temperature in the middle, the cheese was soft and almost melted together, the meats were room temperature. My order was also listed as well done per my request. Instead, it was almost done. When I called, I requested to speak to the woman working. I did so, due to the rude response I received when I placed the order by one of the male staff. The woman working attempted to help, but the call was taken over by one of the men. Based on the attitude and demeaner of said man, he was the one who incorrectly made the order. The man I spoke to was condescending and arrogant, speaking to me as though I made my order wrong and that I should be gracious enough appreciate his existence. Ok, I normally do not do scathing reviews, but this has to be shared! We are still in the middle of combating COVID-19, and what I saw there would be bad even past the precautions that should have been taken even pre COVID. While standing there waiting for my food, I watched as the guys behind the counter prepare the food. They did not where masks or gloves. I was like oh ok, that's fine... Then I watched as they slid the pizza after pizza into the oven, they literally BLEW hard at the base of the pizza to I guess "unstick" the dough from the wood to slide it in the oven. They did this to every pie! Also, I watched as they handled the register (and cash) then touch the pizza with their bare hands. At that point, I had to ask for a refund. I'm sorry that it poor safety handling of food. Not once while I was there for 40 minutes did 1 person go to wash their hands. Eat there at your own risk! Not sure if this is done at every Big Apple Location, but I am weary of eating...
