I went for a gel fill for nails, and a polish change for toes. Iām so glad I waited until after I left to write a review. First, Iāll say my nails look decent. But, immediately upon finishing them, before I could even stand up to go pay, Kathy, my nail tech pointed to the QR code to scan for a google review..I thought no harm, ..scanned it, pulled it open and acknowledged that I will complete it for her. I went to walk away and she stopped me and insisted she take a photo of my nails, with MY phone..I thought that was rather different but again, no harm.. She takes the photo with my phone, I take my phone back and say thank you Iāll add it to the review. I go to walk away again, and she tells me no, itās not finished. I asked her what she means, and she points to my phone screen which has the unfinished review, and she tried to click the āpostā button, to publish the review. Initially, I had 5 stars selected and she saw that, but I had wanted to add some positive context about my experience before publishing it..However, at this point I was bothered by how insistent she was that I leave a review before exiting the building.. The most bizarre thing Iāve experienced at a salon. I am always happy to leave a positive review for great work, but once this took place it put a sour taste in my mouth and I decided I would not be returning. Reviews should be organic and not forced. The lady at the front who greeted us (I assume the owner?) was very kind and welcoming upon us entering, I will say that. Also, just something I observed: my friend was there having her toes done, too (identical service as me - polish change only), and was charged less than I was⦠We didnāt know until we both left and questioned why a polish...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my first and last time here. I asked for a manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was nice, and would be the only thing Iād (possibly) come back for.
First of all, I asked for a manicure with acrylic tips. A manicure provides care towards your cuticles and hands, and I received no such treatment. It was the main reason I came in, my cuticles really needed TLC or else I wouldāve done a better job painting my nails myself. Besides that, I felt like I was nitpicking⦠until my boyfriend (who knows nothing about nails) noticed the imperfections I was trying to justify. From afar, they look nice but my nails are thick, sloppily painted, over-glued, and unevenly shaped. Thankfully, I have a nail kit at home.
And second, the price. Iām shocked at how much my total was, their prices state lower than what they actually charge. I couldāve saved my $170 and did it all myself. The person who helped me kept telling me to be careful not to break it and that this is very long, which this is shorter than what I usually do. She also said she had been working here the longest and to trust her, but towards the end says that sheās only been working here for a year. Donāt get me wrong, sheās great for a pedicure but I wonāt let her near my hands again.
Iāll probably only return to get this acrylic powder off,...
