If you like Old Orchard Beach game, bar, and food gimmicks that make you overpay for everything then this is the Portland equivalent for you.
Specifically for these points: -The food and drinks are over-hyped and overpriced. I actually think it was great at one point when they first started offering a food menu or before then when there was technically no food, but now you're better off eating at home or takeout anywhere else and/or pre-gaming. Side notes, drink prices are insanely high for no reason, and don't order anything off-menu or like in my case you may end up with a screwdriver that's just blended orange pulp poured into a double-shot glass over the largest ice cube you've ever seen and mixed with less than a shot of vodka. -The service is bad enough that when cashing out a bartender didn't want to read my ID I was holding in front of/ready to hand to her and said I needed to tell my name to her. This was not a busy time with a lot of customers. There was no-one else at the bar. -The atmosphere was great, but it is a gentrified nightmare now. Everything would have been rated better if this was still the old Slainte location. Every single aspect of Arcadia has gone downhill since it moved.
Personal note to Dave, I've only ever hoped the best for you since I was flex security at the DoubleTree when you were working there, and because from what I could tell from talking to you this was and still is what I assume your dream is. I still wish you the best, but...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting this incredible arcade bar that truly exceeded all of my expectations. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the lively atmosphere filled with the sounds of vintage arcade games and the aroma of freshly baked pizza.
The first thing that caught my attention was the fantastic selection of vintage arcade games, from classic favorites to rare gems that I had never seen before. The nostalgia hit me instantly, and I found myself lost in a world of pixelated adventures and high scores.
But what truly set this arcade bar apart was the exceptional service provided by Brandyn and the rest of the bar staff. Brandyn's enthusiasm and knowledge about the games added an extra layer of enjoyment to my experience. His friendly demeanor and willingness to help made me feel right at home.
And let's not forget about the pizza! The cheesy slices of heaven were the perfect fuel for my gaming sessions, and I couldn't get enough of them. The combination of delicious food, vintage games, and great company made this place a true hidden gem.
Overall, this arcade bar is a must-visit for anyone looking for a fun and memorable night out. Whether you're a gaming enthusiast, a pizza lover, or just looking for a good time, this place has something for everyone. And with staff members like Brandyn going above and beyond to make your experience special, you'll leave with a smile on your face and memories that will...
Read moreThis was the first time going in after their recent renovation. It looks amazing! The first time I went I loved the grungy, arcade feel but admittedly the poorly lit, black, and graffitied bathroom kind of skeeved me out. That has all changed! The bar is a focus point of the space which looks bigger than it did, and everything is a clean matte black that keeps the same vibe as before. Everyone in there was professional and friendly, the man at the front checking IDs was incredibly excited about the changes that had happened and told us all about the new private room that was available to use. Both bartenders that I spoke to were nice, and I feel like if I had had any questions they would have been more than willing to help me out. There's even food available now, I was just in for a drink so I can't tell you the quality. And the bathrooms, honestly I think their answer to this is the best I've seen. A hallway open on both ends, sinks on one side and three, full door, stalls on the other. Completely gender neutral like a single unit bathroom but without the hassle of having to wait for the one and only toilet. The stalls are actually big enough to get in and out of without touching the toilet with your leg too, awesome! There is an additional washroom on the far side of the water closet that is bigger and more...
