This was the first time going in after their recent renovation. It looks amazing! The first time I went I loved the grungy, arcade feel but admittedly the poorly lit, black, and graffitied bathroom kind of skeeved me out. That has all changed! The bar is a focus point of the space which looks bigger than it did, and everything is a clean matte black that keeps the same vibe as before. Everyone in there was professional and friendly, the man at the front checking IDs was incredibly excited about the changes that had happened and told us all about the new private room that was available to use. Both bartenders that I spoke to were nice, and I feel like if I had had any questions they would have been more than willing to help me out. There's even food available now, I was just in for a drink so I can't tell you the quality. And the bathrooms, honestly I think their answer to this is the best I've seen. A hallway open on both ends, sinks on one side and three, full door, stalls on the other. Completely gender neutral like a single unit bathroom but without the hassle of having to wait for the one and only toilet. The stalls are actually big enough to get in and out of without touching the toilet with your leg too, awesome! There is an additional washroom on the far side of the water closet that is bigger and more accessible as well.

Really cool spot in downtown Portland! Went a few weekends ago with some local friends who hadn’t been either. We got there on a Saturday night right when they opened at 5. Coat check was $3 I think? We opted to just carry ours but nice to see that as an option during the winter! My boyfriend and I both got two different mocktails which we loved seeing as an option! Well crafted with fresh pressed juice and garnishes, so yummy! Main floor is mostly pinballs (super cold vintage playboy one from the 60’s I think?!) with a few other games like guitar hero, Pac-Man, buck hunter, etc. There is a change machine to make quarters, most games were .50¢ some a $1.00. All and all you can play and have fun for $10.00. Downstairs there’s skeeball, two basketball hoops, and a few other games along with a video game console (not sure which one) with a projector screen! Bathrooms were clean and large, no lines. Plenty of sitting and tables to rest your drinks. Several machines had cup holders as well. Food menu was decent, although we only ordered the soft pretzels and were thoroughly disappointed by those. Clearly the frozen ones just heated up (no salt, burnt and could only offer the mustard dip not the cheese one as well as advertised. Other than that, we spent about 2 1/2 hours there and could have easily spent another hour playing.

Went to a friend's surprise 40th bday & had a great time. Nearly every machine was operational, staff was pleasant both at the door & bar. Thoughtful touches throughout like a self serve water station so you dont have to wait at the bar just to get water, $2 coat room, even a few gaming consoles setup to projectors that I think were free to hop on (I didn't want to wait for a turn, it was Saturday & the place was packed). Also REALLY liked that the arcade games use actual quarters instead of tokens. Wife who isnt a drinker really appreciated the mocktail menu, which had some really nice options. I didnt get any food there myself but was happy to see a vegan blt option. One of our friends got a "homemade poptart" that she said was amazing. For a bar the venue is pretty clean, including the bathrooms. I had fun! Would definitely go back, & recommend to friends.

If you like Old Orchard Beach game, bar, and food gimmicks that make you overpay for everything then this is the Portland equivalent for you.

Specifically for these points: -The food and drinks are over-hyped and overpriced. I actually think it was great at one point when they first started offering a food menu or before then when there was technically no food, but now you're better off eating at home or takeout anywhere else and/or pre-gaming. Side notes, drink prices are insanely high for no reason, and don't order anything off-menu or like in my case you may end up with a screwdriver that's just blended orange pulp poured into a double-shot glass over the largest ice cube you've ever seen and mixed with less than a shot of vodka. -The service is bad enough that when cashing out a bartender didn't want to read my ID I was holding in front of/ready to hand to her and said I needed to tell my name to her. This was not a busy time with a lot of customers. There was no-one else at the bar. -The atmosphere was great, but it is a gentrified nightmare now. Everything would have been rated better if this was still the old Slainte location. Every single aspect of Arcadia has gone downhill since it moved.

Personal note to Dave, I've only ever hoped the best for you since I was flex security at the DoubleTree when you were working there, and because from what I could tell from talking to you this was and still is what I assume your dream is. I still wish you the best, but...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this incredible arcade bar that truly exceeded all of my expectations. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the lively atmosphere filled with the sounds of vintage arcade games and the aroma of freshly baked pizza.

The first thing that caught my attention was the fantastic selection of vintage arcade games, from classic favorites to rare gems that I had never seen before. The nostalgia hit me instantly, and I found myself lost in a world of pixelated adventures and high scores.

But what truly set this arcade bar apart was the exceptional service provided by Brandyn and the rest of the bar staff. Brandyn's enthusiasm and knowledge about the games added an extra layer of enjoyment to my experience. His friendly demeanor and willingness to help made me feel right at home.

And let's not forget about the pizza! The cheesy slices of heaven were the perfect fuel for my gaming sessions, and I couldn't get enough of them. The combination of delicious food, vintage games, and great company made this place a true hidden gem.

Overall, this arcade bar is a must-visit for anyone looking for a fun and memorable night out. Whether you're a gaming enthusiast, a pizza lover, or just looking for a good time, this place has something for everyone. And with staff members like Brandyn going above and beyond to make your experience special, you'll leave with a smile on your face and memories that will...
