B Side Tavern — Restaurant in Portland

This place has the potential to be great but it's falling short on so many levels. My biggest problem with this place is all the absurd rules they have. The bartender acted like she was too cool to serve us and when I tried to order a drink it was 100 questions before I could get one. The WORST thing that makes no sense in my mind is that they don't serve doubles. Okay you don't serve doubles no big deal I will order 2 singles.. NOPE they only serve one drink at a time, how does this make any sense? I guess they are not interested in making money. All the other bars in the vicinity don't have these rules. So if you're going to go out and spend money don't waste it at this place. There are too many other spots in Portland to waste...

great prices but marissa is by far the worst bartender ive ever had in my life. she is INCREDIBLY rude and clearly has worked here or as a bartender too long. has a huge chip on her shoulder. very rude and disrespectful to nearly everyone who walks in. I guess if I too was 31 years old and a bartender I might be just as unhappy as she is but luckily I know when to call it quits. I watched her carry on conversations or just straight up ignored people that approached the bar SEVERAL TIMES in the 2 hours I was here tonight.

hopefully she gets fired, a new position that doesnt deal with customers or finds a new job that doesnt require human...

I was in town killing time while my daughter and her friends were at a concert at moda center. The location was close proximity and convenient to find. When I arrived I was greeted warmly by Nina the server and was quite impressed with her professionalism and customer service. She literally made a guy in a cowboy outfit feel welcomed in a hardcore punk type environment. The place itself wasn’t super special but the outside area was warm and inviting and atmosphere was great. But for me the other patrons and especially the service will definitely be bringing me back next time I’m in town. Definitely would...
