Heavenly Donuts — Restaurant in Portland

Went in this morning to buy a heavenly dozen for the posted price of $9.99. Imagine my surprise when she stopped at 12 and told me $11.98 for the dozen. (Posted price for just a dozen is $9.49). When asked about the price difference I was told it was because they are individually priced if you don't order cake donuts. Tried to order the additional 2 cake ones even though I didn't want them and was told I would have to put 2 that I had already ordered back and get 4 cake donuts. This is not posted anywhere in the store to let people know their stupid rules. The owner/manager stepped out and said it didn't need to be posted because the picture shows it and everyone understands that. I will absolutely never buy donuts from this place again. I will drive all the way into Gresham to get my donuts...

Why have signage indicating your open 24/7, ALL your lights on, and cases full of product only to be closed?! Absurd. Get your s h i t together and either open up 24/7 per your multiple signs or remove them. Not sure if your incompetent or merely indifferent, perhaps a combination of both? What a joke! 🤡 Note: I noticed others complaining that the dude who works at this location will try and make you pay cash when you have a credit card. I have no problem with this but it’s a bit obvious he’s pocketing cash because he’ll ring up a FAR lower amount than the what the actual price is. Donuts are food but some of the employees are obviously thieves and the ownership takes zero responsibility for their incorrect signage. Hard pass...

I've been hitting the Heavenly donuts on Lombard for months but one friday evening around five PM I went in and there was condensation on the front window and the "heavenly half dozen" donuts she sold me were stale and tasted funny. I went back the next day to exchange them and a man who I assumed was the mgr played 20 questions with me then gave me static about replacing all seven. (I had eaten one and pitched another)

So I told him I'd take it up with my credit card, and they would lose a pretty regular customer. He only started to care when I asked who I was talking to. Given the contortions I had to go thru to get my donuts replaced I won't be going back.

I suggest people looking for a donut shop...
