Yellowstone Vintage — Local services in Portland

I moved to Portland from Houston a few weeks ago and this place came across my for you page. It’s about a mile from my apartment (their 11th st location) so I walked there today and wowowowow! SUCH a cool place. Everything was very nicely organized and labeled, clean, and nothing felt cluttered or junky. I was there for probably an hour or more! Literally all of their clothing was good quality and unique. Everything was very fairly priced in my opinion, and there was a great mix of affordable things as well as very cool expensive pieces. Absolutely a vintage shop, not a thrift store dirty garage sale vibe. The gentleman (owner?) there was incredibly polite, took all my things to a dressing room, and knew every detail about literally all the pieces in the place. He was helping another customer look for jeans (she was really tall and slim) and he was able to offer her so many suggestions and pulled jeans he knew he had and thought would suit her. We had a great little conversation as I checked out about what I did for work, and he happily shared his own personal experiences as they related to my job. I had such an amazing experience here! From the moment I walked in, they made me feel welcome. They took the clothes I was interested in straight to the dressing room for me, which made shopping feel so much easier and more personal. What really stood out, though, was the way he explained the vintage background of each item, every piece had a story, and it made trying on clothes feel like stepping into a different era.

On top of that, the owner shared his own background in vintage, and you could tell how passionate he is about what he does. I left not only with some amazing finds but also with such an appreciation for the thought and care that goes into curating the pieces here.
