The cocktails here are great, and the atmosphere is nice.As tourists, we had a good time at first, but everything changed when we checked our bank statements later. My friend noticed that the amount charged was far higher than the price listed on the menu. After calculating, we realized a tip of over 50% had been added without our consent. We all checked our statements, and everyone had been charged well beyond the menu prices — it was shocking.
What made this worse was that after ordering, the bartender took our credit cards without showing us any details on the card machine. We never saw any numbers on the terminal, nor did she ask if we wanted a receipt. We all assumed that we would sign for the card and pay the tip when leaving. Instead, it seems like our signatures were forged, and a hefty tip was added without our permission.
To be honest, if the tip had been 20%, we might not have questioned it. But over 50%? This feels like theft!
Later, when we asked another staff member about the extra charge, he asked if we had chosen a tip and signed for it. We explained that the bartender never gave us an option for the tip amount, and we never received a receipt or signed anything. He then tried to explain that the charge was still “pending” because we hadn’t tipped yet, even though our bank records showed that the transaction was completed. He also asked if we wanted to tip, saying the “pending” status would disappear once we did. When he showed us the card machine with the correct menu price, he emphasized that the minimum tip was 18%, and people usually give 20%. This felt incredibly disrespectful — as if they assumed we, as foreigners, wouldn’t tip properly. Combined with the behavior of the first bartender, this made us feel very uncomfortable. No apology was offered, and we were even questioned about tipping. I couldn’t help but wonder if this was racial discrimination.
After choosing a tip and signing the receipt, I noticed that my previous transaction was canceled, and the correct amount was charged. There was no “pending” status, which makes the explanation from the other staff member seem unconvincing.
I later found similar complaints from other tourists in their Google reviews, where people had been charged unauthorized tips as well.
To all foreign or out-of-town visitors: please be extra cautious and check your bills carefully. This kind of behavior is...
Read moreTuesday, December 5th, 2023 @ 10pm . Came here on a recommendation from family. Our server Brayden, aka Brent and Haley, aka (Korey), we couldn't get clarification on their true names. Anyways, we were here with a party of six and a diverse group, both male and female, ages 32-56 of different ethnicities. Our servers made "automatic associations" before getting our orders. We started with a couple rounds of drinks. The AMF's were a little on the sour side, but we didn't complain. Then we decided to order from the menu, and they were out of the Burger and another item. So we ended up ordering the fries. When the fries finally came, three of us from our group grabbed a fry at the same time. Put it in our mouths and said these are Stone cold. One of us kindly told Brayden the fries were cold his response was that they were right in front of you for a while and walked away. As we talked amongst ourselves. He went and spoke with his co-worker in a complaining manner. Someone from our party went to speak with them. She asked the servers if there was a problem? As she went ahead, she explained the situation to aka Haley/Korey. Once she was done explaining the situation to her, her response was, "Well, what do you want me to do?" As you would think, they would offer to make us a new batch of hot fries. Instead, the male server Brayden walked over to us, had the audacity to grab a fry from the dish, and smash it. Look at us and throw it on the floor and walk off.
We were shocked and appalled, and we all looked at each other in disbelief. We asked them to take the fries off of our bill. As we were saying that the female server says, "OK, fine," then looked at my friend who has a speech impediment and says, "ok once we do that, you are done and cut off!" With that comment, we all decided to ask for our bill and leave. Most importantly, there was no manager on-site. Those young adults a.k.a. Servers do not know good customer service. I believe they need to be retrained on "cultural ethics"and "automatic associations." Other than that the atmosphere was nice! I WILL FOLLOW UP AND GO SPEAK TO A MANAGER DURING THE DAY ABOUT...
Read moreI have tried Pink Rabbit twice and unfortunately, both times were extremely disappointing. The first time I went I did not have a reservation, however, I managed to get a seat at the bar. I sat there for 20 minutes and not a single bartender or employee even looked in my direction. I was making it quite obvious that I would like to order something, but I was completely ignored. I figured it was weird, but I didn't have a reservation and it was busy--i'll try again a different day. The next visit I made sure to have a reservation. We arrived 9 minutes late due to traffic, but the host said that they hold tables for at least 15 minutes after the reservation time. She asked us to stand by a table at the door while they cleared off our table. She was nice enough to get some drinks started for us and told us it would be 10 minutes until our table was ready. 30 minutes later we managed to track her down again, where she said "Sorry, we gave your table away". Although she stated that they held reservations for 15 minutes, I guess they had bigger parties that took precedence. She said she put us back on the list and ordered us a round of free drinks while we waited. An hour past our reservation time, we decided to leave. The employee who helped us was kind, but we definitely...
