This pizza is amazing!! Tonight was my first time for this place (10-4-18) and I’m very impressed with food I received but not by the employees. While ordering for delivery there was a little miscommunication between me and the Employee taking my order (his name was Eric). He asked for my area code, I think he said zip code for which confused me, turns out he was just asking for my phone number and he was getting very frustrated with our miscommunication. He was extremely rude when asking where I was getting the food delivered. I explained that I’m staying in a hotel tonight and asked for the driver to call when they arrived because the downstairs door is locked and it would be easier for the front desk due to it being a busy night if we just came down and go it ourselves. He proceeded to tell me it was “a pain in the ass” for the delivery driver to call when they arrived. Before I placed my order I asked if there was someone else there I could place my order with because I felt like he was being rude and there was a lot of miscommunication between us, he proceeded to tell me that he was the only one working up front and straight up said “so if you want to order food from here you’re going to have to talk to me” I couldn’t believe how rude he was being so I asked for his name henignored me asking for his name and asked what I’d like to order. I repeated myself asking his name and he goes “my name is Eric why do you want my name” in an extremely rude tone. I was crying at this point, I just wanted to order my pizza. I said I want your name because I feel like you’re being extremely rude to me. He interrupted me and goes “so what do you want” I said nothing and hung up and had my boyfriend call back to order the food because I was just craving New York Style pizza. But honestly not sure if I’m going to be ordering from here again even though I love the food, extremely poor customer...

Won't ever go here again. Decided to try it as I got a $10 off coupon. I called and ordered the tomato and garlic pizza. I ask if I can sub the tomatoes for olives, and the guy says yeah no problem. The online menu shows that this pie is $17. I get there and am charged $18 which includes the coupon. Confused, I ask the guy at the counter how much this pizza costs. "I dunno man, just add $10 to the price" is the response I get. Annoying, but whatever, as long as the pizza is good it's not a big deal. I get home, and there's no sauce on the pizza. Its just garlic and olives and cheese. I call them and tell them this. They tell me it's a signature white pizza so it doesn't have sauce. Well, there's other white pizzas on the menu and it specifically says that they are white pizzas, which is why I didn't get them. This is not a white pizza on the menu, and therefore it should have sauce, or it should be called a white pizza on the menu. I also find out I was charged for the olives. "Oh yeah we don't do substitutes on our signature pizzas," the guy says. Well, that isn't what the guy on the phone said when I ordered it. The pizza itself also sucked. It was overpoweringly salty and rock hard. I essentially payed 18 dollars for a pizza with no sauce, some garlic on it, and olives, and that was WITH a ten dollar off coupon. So that pizza was technically $28. Extremely overpriced for a really mediocre pizza and bad service when I went to pick it up, and misleading menu and lack of communication about not being able to...

I tried to place an order 15 minutes before closing, and the store refused the order...waiting almost 10 minutes after it was placed saying that "they had no drivers available." Which honestly sounds like a cop out because the order was placed late. I'm sorry, but I used to work at a pizza place before and that's poor management if you don't have drivers up until close. The online ordering platform, Slice, gave me a number to call if I still wanted to pick up the order. So I called the number and spoke with a Slice representative, who in turn called the store to see if I could pick it up. By this point, so much time had passed from when I originally placed the order, that the store was 1 minute from closing. They told the slice representative that their ovens were "already cleaned" and therefore couldn't fulfill the order even if I picked it up. Okay so you say you are open until midnight...But don't have the drivers scheduled to deliver until then....and then turn the ovens off AND clean them before midnight even hits? Why do you say you are open, when you clearly have been closed for a while? If the ovens are clean, then you had to had turned them off a while ago so they would have had time to cool down. That means way before midnight. If you aren't going to fulfill orders until midnight, don't advertise as being open until midnight. Won't be ordering again since I can't trust if my order...

I’m a Native NYer (born & raised from 1982-2000, went to college and lived there until 2008 and went back every year just to bring back pizza to Atlanta until 2015. Pizzaiolo is legitimately the best pizza not only outside NYC but if it were in NYC, it would hands down beat any local Manhattan pizzeria. Great flavor, down-to-earth people, small booth style seating. The NY thin crust is crunchy but soft enough to fold like most NYers do. The cheese to sauce ratio is on point and great flavor! Not too much of either. There are gluten free options too, it comes I2” pies. All pizzas also come in slices except for gluten free. The Greek salad was also good b/c of Fresh Feta, pickled red onions and seedless olives, the dressing is magically slightly vinegar like it must be a red wine vinaigrette perfect balance to the Feta & pickles onions. The hours of the pizza shop are amazing! The plain and pepperoni are simply delicious. First night in Portland we had the Pepperoni it was sooo good we went back for the plain and ordered the meatballs. You may think $3.50 is a bit much for meatballs but it’s worth it! I highly highly recommend this place for pizza. The line can get long so you may want to call it in even if it’s only one pie.

I was in Portland for a Killswitch Engage concert, and after the show I stopped by the closest place that was still open for a pizza to take on the road. Pizzaiolo was the spot I found and visited. I looked at the menu and photos I found on Google and the Bronx pizza captured my eye. I ordered the Bronx pizza and they told me it would be ready in 10 minutes. It was VERY busy in there that might, so I went back to my truck and waited. It was actually out in 10 minutes and I guess they called my name while I was in my vehicle and a cool customer yelled thay my pizza was up which was actually very nice 😆 This was a piping hot fresh pizza at 11:30pm, on a busy Saturday night after a concert and pizzaiola completely came through and made it happen in 10 minutes 🙌 The pizza was good, and I only give the 4 star because of a few personal preferences, but overall this was an amazing first experience.

I’ve been ordering from these guys since they opened back in like 2016 and I’m FINALLY writing them a review. Restaurants come and go in Portland, especially pizza places - these guys ain’t going anywhere. It’s the consistency man. When I order a Bronx I get a Bronx. When I order a custom pie no ingredients are missing. The cook is always perfect, never have I come home with a sad soggy or an over-fired tooth breaker. The large is a LARGE, they use bigger boxes than anyone else. The ingredients are good and fresh - the green peppers have snap and the sausage is well seasoned. When you go in you can tell these dudes pizza, the place just has the vibe man. Good people, good food, and consistent quality. Love these guys!
