Our friends highly recommend this place, so we were excited to try it out. The menu looked delicious. We first ordered the Chicken wings and corn chowder. One bite out of the chicken wings and they were cold and raw in center. We immediately told our waitress who asked if we’d like them re heated. Politely just refused the wings and waited for out meal. I got the Thanksgiving sandwich on Basil focaccia and my fiancé the Acadia sandwich. Both were pretty good but unfortunately everything else was poor. The corn chowder arrived half way through the meal but said they made sure it was “extra hot” Our server was obviously running around tending bar and tables, understandably she was busy. But we watched waitstaff around her just sit around and goof off. Anyone could have helped her with drink refills, Togo boxes, taking our plates. When we checked out the check had the chicken wings as if they were discounted from the bill under “didn’t like” We love chicken wings, just not raw ones. No management came over to check or apologize. Our waitress did. Honestly, all around disappointing.

I'm so impressed with our experience this afternoon- we were greeted by a very nice man who explained where we could sit- it took a while to decide what we wanted but our waitress Sierra was patient and attentive. We got the 14" thin crust Old Port pepperoni pizza and it was phenomenal! My fiance and I were grabbing lunch because my daughter is having an unexpected c-section, 4 weeks early. While we were enjoying our pizza and our favorite beer- the Maine Beer Company's, Lunch, my daughter said her lunch at the hospital was horrible so we ordered her and the baby's father food. When Sierra brought our take out bag- she packed 2 huge brownies and the biggest chocolate chip cookie for my daughter because I had explained why we were there. There were also 2 awesome ladies who got to find out the special name of my grandson before he was born! The generous and caring staff, the food, the atmosphere and the local beer are the reason to visit Portland Pie Co. In Portland, Maine!

We were looking for someplace that offered gluten free options upon arriving into town and found this place just a block away from our hotel. They offered 2 different types of gluten free pizza crusts for us to choose from: gluten free basil & cauliflower. The Spinach & Artichoke dip was also gluten free. They had some decent looking salad choices for us to choose from, as well. The server was nice and the drinks were cold. I do wish they had some gluten free/deglutenized beer options though, instead of only cider and wine. That would've bumped them up to 5 stars.

I usually don't post bad reviews but felt the need to do so here. I went here last night with a friend of mine around 9:30pm. It took ten minutes for our waitress to ask if we wanted any drinks or food. The place wasn't busy either. My friend ordered two draft beers and I myself got 4 slices of pizza that were undercooked, stale and chewy. They had probably been sitting out since late afternoon and shouldn't have been sold. Nevertheless I did not complain about it because I don't usually make complaints about food but will if service is bad. When we were finished and ready for our check the waitress asked if we wanted our check combined or separately. A good waitress would've told us that if we combined our check we would've qualified for $1 slices because my friend had bought two draft beers. We did not know this however so we asked for our checks separately. The total for the 4 slices of pizza came to $17.00. (They used to do 1$ slices from 9:00-10:00 and that's why we went.) When I asked why the check was $17.00 the waitress replied "if you had gotten one check you would've qualified for $1 slices." When asking politely if she could change it to one check instead of two she rudely stomped off bantering about having to get the manager. The manager then came to our table and made a big fuss about it also and was being very condescending and rude. He refused to change the bill to suit our desires and instead pointed at a tiny sign on a far away wall that said $1 slices with purchase of a draft beer. I mentioned the pizza wasn't even fresh but he didn't care. I decided it wasn't worth the headache and effort of arguing with him so I paid for my meal and went to use the restroom before leaving. As I was in the bathroom I could hear them talking negatively which I thought was incredibly rude. I left the restroom and as I was walking out the door to escape the waitress decided to continue to harass me and literally yell out "have a nice night" sarcastically and rudely as her manager was standing right beside her. I told them that yelling out to me like that as i was calmly trying to walk out was going to earn them a bad review and they said to me that they didn't care... unreal! I hope the owner of Portland Pie sees this review because I have never been so poorly served in my life! They knew we were unhappy with the experience, the food and the service and refused to change the bill to make us happy. Talk about customer appreciation... Nevertheless we were both absolutely stunned with the amount of disrespect they gave us. I've been to the Biddeford location before and had a very pleasant experience there. If I could give them zero or negative stars I would but a one star is as low as...

We stopped into Portland Pie in Biddeford while in town visiting our child at UNE. At first we were concerned since there were several people waiting at the check in desk when we arrived. After only a brief wait, though, an extremely nice young lady greeted and sat every guest right away. It turns out, after speaking with the young lady, that the restaurant was short staffed and she was handling the entire seating area herself. There was one other employee that we saw come out from time to time to help deliver drinks and clean up tables. Otherwise, our waitress handled everything in the dining area herself and did a great job! Let me just say that our experience at Portland Pie was nothing short of fantastic. We were definitely concerned at the start, but the waitress was absolutely terrific and, even though she apologized for the "wait", we never felt like they were short staffed and we definitely didn't feel like the service was slow. The waitress was very upbeat and personable and answered my wife's questions about the gluten free pizza dough with ease. The food was delicious (different types of pizza and a hummus wrap) and everyone enjoyed their meal. The straws and take out containers are biodegradeable, which is very responsible of the company. All in all we can't wait to go back as the entire experience...

I’ve lived in Maine my entire life and eaten at Portland Pie’s numerous locations more times than I can count, but after the customer service nightmare I experienced the other day, I will never go back. I placed an order at 6pm for delivery, I was told it would be about an hour, possibly a little longer. No big deal. 7:45 rolls around, no pizza. I know they closed at 8 so I called to make sure they didn’t have a mix up or something. A lady picks up, says “we’re no longer taking orders” and immediately hangs up the phone before I can get a word in. I call back, she picks up and hangs up. I call back 8 more times. She keeps picking up, and immediately hanging up the phone. The last time she put me on hold for 5+ minutes, probably so I would stop calling. They were still open for 15 minutes, and I couldn’t get a sliver of a word in to check on my 70$ order. My sister starts calling and faces the same fate, immediately hung up on each time. We must have called 20 times total and we’re just continuously hung up on. Finally at 7:59 someone answers, tells me they have no idea who would have been doing that, and says there’s been a mixup with my order and he would personally deliver it. Nothing was comped or taken off my bill, it was one of the worst instances of customer service I have ever personally...
