Very clean and curated, but not my favorite shopping or selling experience overall.
Clothes are organized by The Goodwill method - by type, not size. Makes for a slower browsing experience, not my favorite when things are generally priced from $20 to $100. The pricing is ok, and often is coming in around 50% of retail pricing.
Of all the consignment stores in the area, Haberdashery has the most high end brands. I think this store often gets overstock from brands like Reformation - as there will be multiple sizes of one item. For these items/brands, they’re usually the type of brands that are made for smaller bodies.
There's a large variety of clothes if you're XS to M. If your size is Large or above, there's a lot less variety and the brands they carry aren't often cut for midsize and above. They have the slipperiest wooden hangers with clothes constantly falling off. If the store is busy, you can wait for a bit for one of the two fitting rooms.
Staff is usually sweet but very hands off. Can feel sterile at times.
For selling - they’re fast and the drop off process is quick and seamless. You'll get a text when your items are ready. They’re quite picky about what they accept, which makes sense. I wish they’d offer an itemized list with the item name and pricing (like Weekend Vintage or Find), instead of a stack of the items they’ll take and the total they’ll give you. If you want to know the price of one item - they can’t tell you and they don't know what your payout is...
Read moreI stumbled across this gem while visiting Portland and was completely blown away! Yes, the prices are a bit higher than your typical thrift store, but that’s because of the quality and brands they carry—it’s 100% worth it. Everything was in excellent condition, full of gently loved pieces at a fraction of the original retail price.
Even though I’m from South Carolina, I’ve continued to shop online and have been so impressed by the incredible customer service, fast shipping, and how responsive the staff is. My suitcase was actually overweight from how many amazing finds I brought home—no regrets!
I saw another review mention a lack of size variety, but that absolutely wasn’t my experience. My girlfriend and I both found pieces we loved—and she’s six feet tall! They truly have something for everyone.
Can’t recommend this place enough. You girls are crushing it—thank you for creating such a fun, inclusive, and stylish...
Read moreI can relate to many of the reviews on here. There was no “Hello” “welcome to the store”. The girl behind the counter seemed more concerned with finding the right Taylor Swift song on the playlist. I looked around for a little and saw a lot of cute stuff that was probably 10 to 20% more than what I wanted to pay. The reviews are true that if you were not a size small, or medium, you will not have much luck finding stuff. I chose to still make a purchase and support a local business however, I stood at the desk while she was tagging things and I had to actually ask her after about 60 seconds if she could help me check out. It seemed like an inconvenience to her since there was no acknowledgement. Totally not hospitable while in there. No “thanks” / “have a good day” upon exit either but I didn’t expect it. I would not return here when I’m in...
