Read moreAtmosphere gets the highest rating here because the experience peaks upon walking into the open, naturally lit space with high ceilings. Unfortunately it is a downhill slide from that moment on. Board and menu state simply “breakfast sandwich” with 2 different names and no breakdown.
Once we arrived to the register and ordered a sandwich we were pointed to our 2 options, which were taped to a sneeze guard to our left. My wife asked the cashier to substitute the ciabatta for a croissant and was told “sorry it comes with ciabatta”. She then asked if he would check to see if it was possible and when he brought, what I assume was the manager over, he told the cashier yes and walked him through how to charge us an extra $6 for the substitution. I then kept my ciabatta thinking it would be at least edible but, I was mistaken. It was dried out bread I could hardly bite through.
The coffee specials were good and my wife’s sandwich was also enjoyable but not $50 for 2 coffees and 2 breakfast sandwiches good. The rock hard ciabatta being the only option seems to serve as a tactic to discourage people from ordering food in the future.
Hospitality is a dying art and this place serves as a shining example of the new age of “take what we give you and like it pig” service industry. At least they see fit to charge you double for...
Read moreRecently stopped by while in town for a conferece. Stopped by both days and was generally impressed
To my understanding this a local roaster that actually roasts in house and offers many options for beans if ypu like to grind your own beans and or brew at home.
The first day I ordered a latte with one of their house made syrups. The valance was great, not too sweet or overpowering. However my latte was luke earm despite picking it up at the counter right after it was poured. I assumed this was related to the steaming process and brushed it off. I also purchased a cardamom bun and it was wonderful.
On my second visit my latte was delicious again and the temp was ideal. The cardamom buns weren't available but the croissants are also delicious.
The interior is decorated with intent and overall the environment is cery welcoming. I recommend if you're a...
