This place is really fantastic, especially because it exists as a unique alternative to the big chain coffee stops and restaurants in this area. The atmosphere is excellent with bike parking inside, seating for 35ish people, nice lighting, free wi-fi, and a cozy feel. The baristas are delightful and the coffee is delicious. If you like drinking chocolate definitely try it here - it comes with it's own shot glass of delicious whipped cream on the side! They offer all the standard coffee creations plus some fun additions (ex: "barista's choice", turmeric cortado, delicious syrups (black current and honey lavender to name a couple), and a hellfire mocha). Plus tea, kombucha, alcohol, and a great selection of delicious looking food choices. A tip -- for a sweet treat the Ranger cookie is an excellent choice. A new favorite spot in the city for coffee, and a place I'll enjoy coming to regularly to work when I need to.
EDIT/UPDATE: The past three times I've been here I've had a fair bit of trouble with their internet. Some pages never load (often blog posts or small websites) and other times the connection is inconsistent, in and out, and very slow for many sites. I still love this place, but I'm going to have to stop coming to do work here because I can't rely on the...
Read moreRanger rootbeer S’Mores Kit is absolutely amazing and brilliant and unequivocally delicious! It’s a collaboration with Public Coast Brewing in Cannon Beach (they made the rootbeer for the marshmallows) and it looks to be majority organic high quality ingredients for the chocolate (of course! Ranger is the best!) as well as for the graham crackers and marshmallows. The chocolate squares are perfectly crafted to fit exactly to the dimensions of the graham cracker. Brilliant move! The rootbeer marshmallow is also square, so when you squish it down after roasting it, it also fits beautifully onto the chocolate and graham cracker.
I’ve honestly never had such a delicious & thoughtful s’more, and I’m a PNW girl who’s spent plenty of time in front of campfires. I wasn’t initially sure about the rootbeer and chocolate combined, but I’m sold. This should be a dessert served everywhere. The most amazing part is that whereas normally I’d want to scarf down a bunch of normal s’mores…this one had so much flavor and complexity I slowed down and was completely satisfied with one. The kit makes four total; now I have one more set to (reluctantly ;) share with my husband. THANK YOU!! It’s so...
Read moreBaristas were very nice and gave good break downs of their recommendations. Their chai latte was my favorite and my brother loved his s'mores mocha. We thought the butterscotch latte was a bit underwhelming in flavor compared to the others. We splurged and got the bon bons which were our favorite chocolate. My brother liked the espresso chocolate but I thought the wine one was a bit odd, can't put my finger on why. It is a fun space where they have their production shelving coming out into the cafe and you can see some of the workers in the back. Kind of a woodsy industrial vibe. Parking was very difficult to find but we also went when the convention center had something going on. Lastly, my only complaint would be that the chocolate bars are not scored in any way. No lines for east breaking, no embossment. So you either break it apart with your hands or like I did, cut it with a knife into smaller pieces, but then you lose a lot of the smaller, finer pieces. Anyway, cute and yummy shop, and a great...
