From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for something special. But what truly elevated our experience was our phenomenal waitress, Linea. Her professionalism, warmth, and deep knowledge of the menu were unmatched. I had a simple request—no cheese—and without hesitation, she ensured my meal was prepared exactly as I wanted, all while making me feel valued and heard. But let’s talk about the food. Flawless. Spectacular. A symphony of flavors that transported me straight to culinary heaven. Every bite was a masterpiece, bursting with authenticity and crafted with care. You can tell that this restaurant takes pride in delivering not just a meal, but an experience—one that engages all the senses. And the service? Let’s just say I’m metaphorically (and almost literally) doing a triple backflip out of pure joy! The perfect balance of attentiveness and genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. I’ll be raving about this place to anyone who will listen, and trust me—I will absolutely be back. If you haven’t been here yet, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. You’ll thank me later!

Ribollita’s is tucked in between a couple of restaurants at the tail end of Middle Street on the outskirts of the Old Port. This place is most definitely worth seeking out for Italian fare! This is not a large restaurant by any stretch and while the tables for 2 are packed quite closely together, it still has an intimate feeling to the ambiance. The food is delicious… My girlfriend had the short ribs and I had the chicken puttanesca, both were quite generous potions. The mussels and the Bellini cocktails were fabulous as was the outstanding service that we received from the staff. This menu may just be the best value in the Old Port. Large portions for a below average price with the highest quality of ingredients...great combination in my humble opinion! Definitely a must go to place if your looking for a romantic authentic Italian dinner on a budget!

We attempted the Italian Bizarre and opted for Ribollita instead. We are so glad we did. First, we recommend reservations. We lucked out with a last-minute table this evening. The interior is quaint. We opted for a bottle of Chianti. It tasted well, but my husband would have preferred the server to refill our glasses. We ordered a Caesar salad to share. It was a hefty portion. It's definitely enough to share. The complimentary bread was, eh? The bread tasted stale and could have used oil for dipping. For our main meal I chose the ravioli and my partner chose the gnocchi. Both meals were hearty and full of flavor. The pan sear on the gnocchi was unique and added a bite I didn't expect. We'll be back!

I'll start with the positives. Service was great, food was great although needed a bit of salt. Prosciutto and melon... perfectly fresh, sweet, tender melon and nice prosciutto even if it was a bit too thin. I could eat that dish all day. Bf got braised pork with pasta and beans and greens etc. And was very happy with it. I tried it and also thought it was delicious, though the pasta cuts were a little beyond rustic and ranged from fettuccine to almost a ravioli sheet, with some pappardelle in between. I got tortellini in brodo. Considering it was only $6 I wasn't expecting a ton, and was surprised by a large bowl. Pretty much just tasted like parsley it was garnished with so much of it. And there were four large, obviously homemade tortellini. Always love handmade pasta. Issue was that they were so big you had to cut into them but the filling was just straight cheese, I assume, because immediately after cutting into it it all dissolved into the broth and left be with wet empty pasta. Also one of the four arrived exploded which was a shame but after eating the others and losing the filling I guess it didn't make much difference. This was all acceptable, and totally fine. Whatever. The main issue was that we arrived around 5:45 to a half empty restaurant. Took about half an hour for our appetizer (slices of melon wrapped in prosciutto) and then about an hour after we had finished that for the entrees. Didn't realize they were braising the pork to order.... Lol. Wanted dessert because it looked great but didn't order it because we didn't want to wait another hour. Literally almost asked the waitress for the bread back. I get that it takes longer when you cook everything to order and make quality good, and especially when you only have two cooks, but come on, if you have less than ten tables to serve it should never take as long as it took last night, it was absurd. The food was great but I would honestly not go back because the wait was so ridiculous. And I don't mind waiting for good food we weren't in a rush but damn, get...

I’ve been coming to Ribolitta for at least 20 years. It was an Epiphany Eve meal with family though our intrepid trekker was on the Long Trail in VT. Our waitress was lovely, very solicitous but didn’t hover. She refilled water glasses throughout our meal. The starting bread with rosemary and crunchy salt was perfect. We ordered the Ribolitta (soup), Caesar salad and panzanella. Wow each very different, each delicious. The Ribolitta was deliciously aromatic to the entire table. For our main entrees, we had chicken puttanesca, gnocchi with prosciutto and peas and Tuscan fish stew. Good flavor in each, good depth. Nothing too heavy. Sauces were unique to each dish. It’s obvious the effort of the kitchen in preparing these dishes. We finished the meal with vanilla bean flan and chocolate torte with raspberry sauce. The flan was caramel-forward in a good way. Food was delivered just right. We were checked in on a couple of times and weren’t rushed. Nice meal, good service....
