The sparkling rose was very good. I did not feel welcomed when I arrived. I felt like I was trying to enter a private club of which I was not a member. Hours are not posted on the door. I made it clear that I would try a rosé and then a red. I wish the server had mentioned the short window I had to have both glasses of wine because when I tried to order the red wine she said she was “closing in five minutes.” She told me this as she was helping two other patrons who were clearly looking at a menu. Having worked in two of Portland's best restaurants for over 10 years, I was surprised. It is unheard of to refuse something to a customer (especially one who is already seated) until the precise time of closing. I really wanted to like it but I probably...

This winery in midcoast Maine is very good. If you doubt red wine from a cold climate, this will change your mind. I'm originally from the Finger Lakes in upstate NY so I know how good wines, red and white, from a colder climate can be. Cellardoor does not disappoint. We've had several of their wines and the Buoy White and Irongate are two of our favorites. We stopped in the Middle Street Portland location to buy some wines to take back home and met Emily who is probably one of the nicest and most accommodating people you could meet. She gave us samples of many of the wines, making suggestions based on our tastes. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The owners of Cellardoor should be very proud of the way she represents the company...

We rented out the back room for our rehearsal dinner here and it was such a perfect location! The space is beautiful and all of our guests were so impressed by the gorgeous chandeliers and awesome hot pink furniture. The staff was so organized and accommodating in helping us plan the event. Allison was INCREDIBLE as our point person - from assisting us with catering, to providing background music, to creating a last minute slideshow... She was so invested in making sure we had exactly what we wanted! We love going here for a wine tasting as well. Very reasonably priced as well. I would recommend this place to anyone for any occasion, whether it be a quick pit stop or a...

Beautiful, Beautiful tasting bar! Stunningly beautiful. Worth the trip just to see it, alone! Wonderfully friendly staff! Great selection of wine! Beautifully arranged. Most of the wine we tasted was pretty dry (which we don't love) and they don't serve any apps or snacks....you can buy some premade snack plates or boxes of crackers in shop. Would be a great place for a birthday cake and wine gathering (if they will let you bring in a cake?) Or for the start of a bachelorette party. I didn't go look, but I think they have a lounge like room to out on the otherside for small parties ...FABULOUS!!!! Beautiful location!

Really nice place to stop for a glass of wine. My wife and I dropped in for an hour before our flight out of Portland and we’re so glad we did. We brought home a few bottles of wine. The wine selection is good and the people there were very knowledgeable and friendly. Another plus is that there’s a good brewery next door and a distillery next door to that so it’s a win no matter how you look at it!

A little off the beaten path for Portland, but totally worth the adventure. And then the point has a little something to offer for everyone. We were greeted warmly and shown way more wines than were even on the tasting list... couldn’t be more pleased! Ordered a few to be shipped back home! Which wasn’t as expensive as I expected. Nice vibes, highly recommend the journey over to Thompson Point.
