My friends and I chose to take our money elsewhere after a visit to this 'concept store.' The bell at the entrance was the first note of pretension, and the salesperson's overzealous hanger correction act while following us around the store, made it clear that our money wasn’t welcome. It truly felt like a parody of the famous scene in Pretty Women when she is treated so poorly in a shop on Rodeo Drive….except it was a trying too hard storefront in Portland, Maine. The clothes may have been lovely, but the salesperson’s rude attitude and inflated ego was a deal-breaker.
