Monterrey's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Powder Springs

This location was not nearly as good of an experience as the S. Cobb Dr. in Smyrna, GA location. Though no one was outright rude to us, none of the staff seemed very friendly. My wife and I literally laughed as our waitress continually walked by us without stopping as we repeatedly tried to ask for something (again, she wasn't being rude, it just seemed there wasn't much of a desire or thought to give customers much attention). The chips were pretty stale, and our entrees were pretty disappointing as well. The guacamole salad wasn't fresh (much of the lettuce was beginning to wilt), and the chili relleno was, well, just not a chili relleno. They literally cut a small sliver of a green pepper (unfried) and poured cheese and meat on top of it. I did politely ask the waitress if chili rellenos typically are stuffed with meat and cheese and lightly fried, and she literally laughed and told me that what I had on my plate was indeed a chili relleno. She said only stuffed poblanos have things stuffed in them and that my pepper was too small to put anything in it. I didn't argue with her and just said, "thank you". Neither my wife consider ourselves high-maintenance. We like "cheap-American" Mexican food, but it was all pretty gross today. We won't...

This looked like a very nice place eat. Thwy gave us chips quickly and brought our drinks in a timely manner. Althought there were max 5 tables seated the entire time we were there, we had to get someones attention for refills.

The waiter was eager to get us to order and we did order. I ordered fajitas and my boyfriend ordered a quesadilla. The setup plate with the rice, beans and salad came out about 10 mins before the rest of the food. The fajitas and quesadilla came out at the same time. Then I waited abput 7 more mins before someone realized we needed something, and I could inform them i didnt get my tortillas. About 3 or 4 mins later I got those. By the time i had everything to eat, the setup plate food was cold and the fajita plate was on its way. I told thw waiter I just didnt want the meal and he seemed upset, but a manager came to ask what was wrong. I explained and she was understanding. They removed the meal from out ticket and I just ate chips and guacamole. My boyfriend said that his good was good, but he felt ackward eating as I just sat and watched.

I think that the prices were readonable and affordable. And what we got was good. I just wish i could have gotten my good all...

I ordered the chicken, steak, and shrimp dip to go. It was all seperate when i got it with toritillas. I went back and asked him can they just re-make it like the picture. I wanted a dip not tortillias. The manager would not do this and kept trying to convince me that this was a dip. If it was a dip, why do it have tortillias with it? He also would not give me a refund. He got a container and tried to put it all together on thier counter in the open. So i asked for a refund. He would not give me that either.

Yall, I loved this place and used to get cheese dip with jalapenos to go at least once a week and went there and sat down and got this dip last week. And this dude tried ro gaslight me tonight. Sort of mad i lost my favorite mexican restaurant but there are more mexican restaurants and other restaurants to explore.
