Ok. So I’d give this place 0 Stars if that were an option. Recently in town from NOLA and met my daughter here for a meal on the way through to Birmingham. Let me just start with saying service was some of the worst I’ve seen from the front door all the way through. Hostess seemed very confused, lacked ability to manage seating correctly which seemed to create conflict with the serving staff from go. We were also lied to and told the section we requested seating in was not available which we learned about later while overhearing staff complain during our meal. The manager seemed disconnected and with frustration issues as we witnessed him to slam tray holders near where we were sitting at the bar area as a 2nd choice due to the above mentioned scenario. Where things only get better, the poor young guy at the bar was working his heart out when another server, tall slender black male not sure of his name is making unreasonable demands on the poor guy and when he cannot drop everything at once as he was busy making drinks to give this server his demands he insults him in front of us telling him and I quote,“Rot in hell, you fat piece of shxt!”. At this time the bartender ignores the insult and continues his job making drinks. After a few minutes when the bartender is caught up with the drinks at the time he turns to go grab something and as he’s walking off this same guy yells loud enough for us all to hear it, “I’m going to cut the bartenders fxcking throat!” There is absolutely no manger intervention, we were absolutely appalled! The young man managing the bar 1) deserves a work environment free of violence and one where civility exist, which this place clearly lacks! and 2) This bartender should be commended for his level of professionalism in managing such an adverse situation in front of customers unlike the degenerate server whom obviously had no regard for their customers. I quite honestly find it disgusting that any management team would allow this and not provide any protection for the employee being violently verbally assaulted on the premises of their establishment especially while carrying out his duties. I pray this young man finds a healthier work environment because he definitely deserves much better than this place can or is willing to clearly provide him. Please replace your clearly incompetent management team here...the bottom can never be strong if the top is weak. This place would not last one day up against the restaurant industry in NOLA and I can only wish the guy whom wants to threaten to cut throats would come try to yell that at someone in public in NOLA, he’d most likely find himself having to very quickly make decisions on how his axx was now going to back up what his mouth just let...
Read moreWe went here to eat lunch around 2:40 for lunch specials. Waited 25-30 minutes for a server to just even get our drinks ordered. Now im usually not somebody who complains or a Karen. But it was hard not to today because it was truly disturbing and wasn’t going to after today pay 20-30$ a plate for mediocre or less then mediocre quality of food. I had to get up and ask the front desk to get a waitress. If that already wasn't bad enough. The soup, salad, and drinks were good. But the actual entrees were terrible. I ordered a shrimp scampi and my girl ordered the chicken alfredo. My shrimp scampi was completely made carelessly. Noodles weren’t seasoned, the shrimp wasn't seasoned, half seared, and the veggies on it tasted like sum steamfresh frozen vegetables that u stick in the microwave. Whole dish itself was bland, tasteless, and careless. And my girl’s noodles were good but the chicken was bland as well. Thankfully the waitress and manager was amazing and took my meal off. And my girl ordered to go spaghetti and meatballs. It was just noodles, sauce, and instead of meatballs was a fat sausage on top. How can u tell me sorry the food wasn't up to my standards and hope u can comeback to try something different then right afterwards can’t even get the spaghetti and meatballs right. Its not just my standards. The problem is their isn't A standard. Its not just the chefs fault either their should be somebody inspecting and doing a quality food check before it even leaves the kitchen. The whole restaurant function is dysfunctional. And the quality of food that comes out of their is terrible. I hope they make the necessary changes. Because its not been the first time I've been here that food quality is a issue. It seems like it went downhill soon as the pandemic hit. Usually the food here is a hit or miss. But today will be my last. Anybody that reads this as a customer if u want a sure thing that u wont be disappointed is the...
Read more03/12/2024 - Arrived at 4:08 pm. for a very early dinner with my sister. There were 2 girls holding up the cash register desk upon our arrival. As you'd expect, it was very quiet with only a few patrons. Daleresia was our server. It was obvious that she was new but did a great job getting our drink orders out and taking our food order. The food took an inordinate amount of time to come out, just as it had during my last visit on February 13th. I had the shrimp alfredo, and she had the eggplant parmesgian. The fettuccine noodles were terribly over cooked otherwise it was good. The red sauce served over the spaghetti that was served with the eggplant parm dish tasted bad, but the eggplant itself was quite good. We'd eaten and was ready for our to-go boxes and the bill. We had to wait a good while for those things because our server kept having new clients put in her section, instead of it being evenly divided among the servers. Once I received the bill, there was confusion about who I had to pay in order to leave the restaurant. When I went to the front desk, where the same two girls were holding up the desk, they quickly informed me that I had to pay my server like they were afraid they might have to do something. By this time, it's 6 pm, and I am more than ready to leave, so I asked for a manager. When I got back to my table, I was able to pay a very understandably upset Daleresia without further problems. We felt sorry for her since it was so obvious that she had been set up for failure by the others. I HANDED her a nice tip before I left the table. Never did I see a manager even though I was there a good 10 minutes after I had asked. Mr Kenneth Trumble, manager, has a couple of serious problems that need to be addressed stat. While I enjoy the Olive Gardens food, I doubt that I will return to this location again anytime in the...
