Shoe Station — Local services in Prattville

I would give it a 5 star review, but one thing really bothered me to the point to give it a 2. Service was great, customer service was good and friendly. Prices were fair and comparable. Lots of deals in the back. But they have a super creepy armed security guard walking around constantly. The most expensive shoes I saw in there were $120. Do they really need an armed sercurity guard? Plus they have a sign on the door that says no guns in the store...it irked me so bad because I have a concealed carry permit and after seeing the creepy armed guard walking around wished I had carried. The shoe station is located in a parking lot that has local police in it or within 1 minute of it pretty much constantly during their open hours. It's not in a bad part of town and nothing they sell should require an armed guard; but the armed guard would be so bad if he wasn't some creepy stalker looking guy trying to pretend he's a cop. Get rid of your creepy security...

Went to look for shoes and a girl started following me around that worked there. I didn't think much of it but when I got to the checkout line I waited for my turn then the security guard came and dumped all my stuff out and told me he was supposed to check sizes but the cashier just stood there and everyone before me wasn't checked including my boyfriend who walked out to the car already. While I was leaving he said something smart and I didn't realize til I got to the car I was singled out most likely because I was hispanic and "looked suspicious" because I was just shopping like everyone else. Called the manager Monday and she never once apologized for my horrible experience all she said was she would have to look into it and never called me back. She was almost as rude as the security guard. I will never step foot in that store again and I hope no one else is humiliated like I was just for looking different than...

I went in to this store today to find a pair of Steve Madden shoes. I had already checked online, and the website said the shoes were in stock at this location. I went in, there appeared to be no employees besides one at a cash register. I finally came across an employee and proceeded to ask her where the shoes were located, since I already knew they were in stock. She quickly said “we’re out of those...” in a rude tone. I said “Really? Because online it says you have them”. She just shook her head and said no. She clearly was uninterested in even checking to see if they had the shoes. I walked around a little more and...what did I see...a whole display of the exact Steve Madden shoes I was looking for. So I found the employee and I said “Ma’am, here they are right here...” and she just looked and said “Okay...” again in a rude, uninterested tone.
